  • Patent number: 6135878
Abstract: Modular ceiling air diffusers are provided in which the core deflector elements are pre-fabricated in a one-hit one-part pressing operation to form a selected pattern of integral louvers shaped to deflect air in a desired horizontal air pattern. This reduces the labor content and material costs in manufacturing modular ceiling air diffusers compared to prior art devices of this kind, without compromising the level of air distribution performance.

  • Patent number: 5807171
Abstract: An air diffuser apparatus has a box-like air diffuser chamber with sheet metal side walls, that are provided with a series of laterally spaced outlet orifices. Each orifice is formed by cutting out wing portions of the sheet metal on each side of a center line of the orifice and bending the wing portions outwardly to a position inclining toward this center line. The wing portions define an air flow passage tapering in an outward direction. The chamber has a base connected to a lower edge of the side walls that includes a layer of heat insulation material. An upper structure closes the upper end of the chamber and has an inlet opening for introducing pressurized low temperature air into the chamber. This arrangement is highly efficient for diffusion of low temperature air and can be of essentially all-metal construction.

  • Patent number: 5788572
Abstract: A linear air diffuser apparatus has two parallel longitudinal rails maintained spaced by two or more transverse connectors. Two or more blade-like adjustable air flow control members extend longitudinally between the connectors. Each flow control member has a planar blade end portion at each longitudinally outer end. Each connector has an upper block and a lower block with the blade end portions received between them. One or both of the blocks has on a side facing the end portions a polymeric resiliently compressible piece that is compressed between the blocks and exerts a resilient reaction urging and gripping the end portions stably between blocks so that they are not prone to vibrate.

  • Patent number: 5540446
Abstract: The present invention provides a cover and removable and replaceable target pattern appliques for use with dart boards, archery targets, and the like. The cover and target pattern appliques are simple to install on a dart board or archery target and allow the user to remove and replace the current target pattern with a variety of target patterns. The dart board cover comprises a cover body, means for holding the cover body on the dart board, and a front panel member for receiving a target pattern applique. A target pattern appliques can be fixed to the front panel, be removed, and be replaced with another target pattern applique quickly and easily.

  • Patent number: 5137390
Abstract: A connector member for connection to a T-bar is in the form of a plate with a lug extending from one side. The T-bar has an aperture which snugly receives the lug when the plate is applied on the side of a web of the T-bar. The lug extends through the aperture and defines an opening with the side of the web opposite the side on which the plate is applied. The opening faces longitudinally of the T-bar. A keeper member is slidable longitudinally from a locking position in the opening in which it resists lateral withdrawal of the lug from the aperture to an unlocking position in which the keeper member disengages the lug and allows the plate to be separated from the T-bar web.

  • Patent number: 4135540
Abstract: Externally discharging downspouts normally dump water adjacent the building foundation where it accumulates and, if rainfall is heavy, it drains through the weeping tiles with the possibility of overflow inside the building leading to flooded basements. Various methods have been provided to lead downspout drainage water to a point remote from the building such as permanent pipes or automatically unrolling plastic tubes. The present device includes an adaptor secured to the downspout from which the usual elbow is removed, and a hinged trough or conduit section pivotally secured to the adaptor. The trough can be held vertically against the downspout and manually hinged downwardly when desired or can be electrically operated from one position to the other and vice-versa. If electrically operated, the operation can be automatically controlled by humidity or by switch operation from inside the building.
