Abstract: A prefabricated system for outfitting a building space includes an architectural product (such as a full-height permanent building wall, a post-and-beam product with overhead frame, and a drywall-covered wall), a furniture product (such as a partial-height wall, a partition, and a desking system), and a plurality of accessories. The architectural product includes a structural member with horizontal and vertical accessory-mounting T-slots, and the furniture product includes structural trim pieces with identical vertical and horizontal accessory-mounting T-slots. The plurality of accessories are constructed to stably engage any of the accessory-mounting slots at a selected location along the slots. Some accessories can be attached to and extend between the two products, such as an accessory screen that extends between a post of a post-and-beam system and an end of a partition system.

Abstract: A utility hub for post and beam furniture systems includes a housing defining an interior space, having a radially disposed notch adapted to laterally receive a vertically extending post therein, and including at least first aperture adapted to allow access to an electrical power receptacle and at least one second aperture adapted to allow access to a communication receptacle. The utility hub also includes a divider member located within the interior space of the housing and substantially dividing the interior space into a first section that includes the first aperture, and a second section that includes the second aperture, and a housing insert located within the notch of the housing, operably connected to the housing, and cooperating with the housing to define a central aperture adapted to receive the post therein.

Abstract: A furniture system includes a low-height partition having a horizontal row of discrete attachment sites, such as slots on each side, and having a top surface. A binder bin has a continuous horizontal attachment feature, such as an “L” groove, along an upper portion of its rear side. A bracket system attaches the binder bin to the partition in a raised position, and includes a bent-rod top bracket and bottom brackets configured to engage the slots on opposite sides of the partition. The binder bin is initially attached at a desired location along the partition by selectively engaging the brackets with the slots and by engaging the bracket with the groove. The angle of the binder bin is adjustable with respect to the top surface of the partition by threadably finely adjusting a nut on the brackets.

Abstract: A free-flowing granular bitumen product containing from 0.5 to 6% by weight of a powdery coating and separating agent such as synthetic silica or carbon black is prepared by atomizing hot, liquid bitumen in a spray mixer while simultaneously introducing the powdery coating and separating agent by means of the cold air flow into the spray mixer.

Abstract: What are disclosed are a method for making halogen-free organomagnesium alkoxides of the formulaR.sup.1.sub.a R.sup.2.sub.b Mg(OR.sup.3).sub.c (OR.sup.4).sub.c,wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are phenyl or alkyl, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are alkyl, and wherein (a+b)=(c+d)=1, by reacting(R.sup.1.sub.a R.sup.2.sub.b).sub.2 Mgwith Mg [(OR.sup.3).sub.c (OR.sup.4).sub.d ].sub.2,halogen-free organomagnesium alkoxides made by this method, and stable solutions of such organomagnesium alkoxides in an inert hydrocarbon solvent.
