  • Patent number: 5042554
Abstract: A support and/or guide roller device for folding, sliding panels which consists of support pedestal (29) resting on the front side of panel (5) for one of the ends of the vertical axle bolt (23), whose other end is supported in a running carriage (21) for support rollers (22) or guide rollers. The distance between support pedestal (29) and running carriage (21) of support rollers (22) or the distance of the guide roller from this may be adjusted and fixed in the longitudinal direction of axial bolt (23). So that the support and/or guide roller device can be adapted to different thickness measurements of the panel cross-sections, axle bolt (23) sits on a bracket arm (26), with which support pedestal (29) can be displaced in a limiting manner essentially crosswise to the panel plane and can be set in a fixed manner in any chosen position (43-46 and 51.

  • Patent number: 4838111
Abstract: A limiting stop for the swinging angle of an arm which is pivotally mounted on a fixed structure. The stop consists of a pair of parallel links which are connected for relative sliding motion between at contracted position and an extended position. At least one of the links has an elongated slot and the other link has a laterally projecting tongue which extends into the slot for movement along the slot. One end of the slot has a stopping surface which is engaged by the tongue when the links are in the extended position for determining the swinging angle of the arm.

  • Patent number: 4829710
Abstract: A disengaging device which is constructionally simple and operationally reliable for a wing of a window, door or the like which is required to take up a configuration parallel and disengaged from a stationary frame in order to be slidable horizontally for opening and closing. The wing is connected to the frame with upper and lower swingout arms in pairs. The lower swingout arms are each pivotally mounted at the lower transverse wing bar at one end and to a traveling carriage at the other end. A releasable blocking device is provided for the lower swing out arms which is activated when they are in the disengaged and stable parallel position. The blocking device is activated through a control arm associated with the lower traveling carriages. The control arm can be brought into and out of operative connection with a thrust bearing located on the stationary frame. The control arm is mounted on the traveling carriage and limited to basically horizontal planar motion in a limitedly swivelable manner.

  • Patent number: 4818347
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the isolation of vinyl acetate from a gas mixture containing vinyl acetate, ethyl acetate, water and carbon dioxide formed in the reaction of ethylene with acetic acid and oxygen in the gas phase over catalysts containing palladium or palladium compounds. The gas mixture leaving the reaction zone is passed into a distillation column and the gas mixture leaving the top thereof is cooled. The gas which is not condensed during the cooling is washed with acetic acid in a washing column, an acetic acid solution containing vinyl acetate being obtained. The bottom product from the distillation column is passed to a second distillation column and a side stream containing ethyl acetate is removed from an enrichment zone above the bottom thereof, all or some of the bottom product from the second distillation column, which product chiefly consists of acetic acid, being used for the wash in the washing column. The top vapor of the second distillation column is cooled.

  • Patent number: 4802307
Abstract: Tilt-slide mechanism for moving a wing of a window or door to a parallel stop position and in this position for shifting it horizontally. The mechanism has lower and upper shift arms, wherein the lower arms 10 are in each case pivotally mounted (on the one hand) on the lower transverse wing beam and (on the other hand) on a traveling carriage. A releasable blocking device is provided for the lower shift arms when they are located in the parallel position. The blocking device consists of a two-armed hinged supporting lever and a guide pivot pin; its lower arm is shiftable along a guide slot on the wing. The guide pivot pin of the supporting lever combines with a detent recess to join the guide slot on the wing to the blocking device for fixing the lower shift arm relative to the wing in the parallel stop position.

  • Patent number: 4791809
Abstract: A circuit arrangement to detect signals indicating a change in the current of a needle lift sensor of an injection nozzle in combustion engines, which is connected to a constant direct current supply. This circuit arrangement, which is intended to detect the signals indicating a change in current that are emitted by a needle lift sensor Z.sub.s of an injection nozzle in combustion engines that is connected to a direct current source, is designed in such a way that it will also detect minor signals indicating a change in current under the conditions prevailing in motor vehicles, which exhibit a high level of interference. For this purpose, the sensor (Z.sub.s) is connected to the controlled outlet (4) of a controlled direct current source (1) and a sensing resistor (R.sub.

  • Patent number: 4527610
Abstract: Due to the inclination of a centrifuge arm of a centrifugal casting arrangement the mass of a muffle or retort and a compensation or balancing mass come to lie essentially in the same rotational plane. The infinite adjustment of a muffle or retort holder and the compensation or balancing mass is accomplished by a drive rod movably arranged within the centrifuge arm as well as by a gear rack driven by the drive rod and upon which there is seated the muffle holder. A housing structure containing a cover member prevents access to the centrifugal casting arrangement during operation of the centrifugal casting machine.

  • Patent number: 4512972
Abstract: The present invention relates to nasal preparations which contain, as active ingredient, one or more nitrogen-containing polysaccharides obtained from fungi, in particular the polysaccharide krestin, and which exert a prophylactic action lasting several days against infections caused by viruses of the respiratory tract, especially influenza A and B viruses, as well as vaccine nasal preparations which contain the above mentioned active ingredient together with viruses of the respiratory tract of at least one strain and which impart a long-term protective action on single administration. The invention is also concerned with the production and use of these nasal preparations.

Abstract: The invention relates to new pharmaceutical preparations for the topical treatment of infections caused by herpes viruses, especially those which have been caused by herpes virus hominis, for example of herpes genitalis and herpes dermatitis. The preparations contain as antiviral agent a synergistic combination of an acid sulphated polysaccharide or acid sulphated polymer, in particular heparin, and zinc ions, and may further contain polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate and/or -monooleate. They are usual types of preparations for topical administration such as tinctures, solutions, creams, ointments and, especially, gels.
