Abstract: A device and method relating to a layer system is provided. A substrate with a multi-layer system disposed on the substrate is provided. The multi-layer system has at least one upper layer and at least one layer. A contact element is applied through cold-gas spraying in such a manner that the contact element penetrates the upper layer and contacts the lower layer. The upper layer of the multi-layer system has a scratch-resistant top-layer.

A multilayer system (14) that is disposed on the substrate (1) has at least one top layer (3; 4) and a bottom layer (2; 3) as well as a contact element (5) which penetrates the at least one top layer (3; 4) and contacts the bottom layer (2; 3). The invention further relates to a method for producing a contact element (5) of a multi-layer system (14).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for applying one or several coats to a substrate in a device comprising a PVD/CVD coating chamber. One solid matter is physically transformed at least in part into a gaseous phase and is applied to the substrate in the gaseous phase. At least one additional compound and/or one additional metal is added to the gaseous phase in liquid or gaseous form, and the at least one additional compound and/or the at least one additional metal reacts with the surface of the substrate. The invention also relates to a coating that is produced according to said method.
