  • Patent number: 11110523
Abstract: A machining tool for use in machine tools for rotating cutting operations has a main body, which can be rotated about a center axis and which is elongate in the direction of the center axis, at least one cutting element fastened to the main body and at least one chip removal channel, which extends along the main body outside of the center axis and which is bounded inwardly by a core of the main body, through which core the center axis passes. The chip removal channel is outwardly closed at least over a longitudinal section by an outer chip space wall adjoining the core.

  • Patent number: 10835968
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a machining tool having a base body which is rotatable about a rotary axis and movable in a feed direction along the rotary axis, at least one cutting element which is fixed on the base body and has a front cutting edge pointing in the feed direction, and a flute associated with the cutting element and formed by a recess in the base body. In order to control the chip flow, according to this disclosure, a flute cover mounted on the base body is proposed, which outwardly covers a chip removal area of the flute adjoining the cutting element.

  • Publication number: 20200086404
Abstract: An inventive milling tool has a tool head that is rotatable about a tool axis and configured for coupling at its rear to a machine spindle. A plurality of cutting elements are distributed around the tool axis on a cutting circle, each cutting element provided with a front plane cutting edge and a peripheral cutting edge extending at an angle thereto. A channel system extends through the tool head and is configured for delivering coolant to the cutting elements. A replaceable ring is releasably fastened on a front end flange of the tool head in an interlocking manner, and the cutting elements are carried by the replaceable ring.

  • Publication number: 20110201434
Abstract: The thread former is used for the non-cutting shaping of threads and has a main body (1?) on which the moldings (6) are provided, distributed over the circumference. Said moldings are provided with thread-forming teeth (13, 14). Profile grinding tools are used to produce the thread-forming teeth (13, 14), both in the main body (1?) as well as in the moldings (6). In order for the thread former to be produced easily and cost-effectively, the moldings (6) protrude radially beyond the main body (1?) so far that the profile tool only engages with the molding when producing the thread-forming teeth (13, 14). Consequently, the profiling tool only has to machine one type of material. The thread former is used for the non-cutting shaping of threads, particularly of internal threads.

  • Publication number: 20090005185
Abstract: A tool for chipless shaping of threads has a working part having an exterior side provided with thread grooves. A clamping shaft having a fastening area is provided and the working part is secured on the fastening area. The working part is a component that is nonpositively secured in an axial direction of the clamping shaft on the fastening area of the clamping shaft. The fastening area of the clamping shaft has a cross-section that is smaller than a cross-section of a remainder of the clamping shaft.
