Abstract: A tufting carpet is described which comprises a tufting base, a pile material and a carpet back and essentially consists exclusively of polyamide 6. Through the use of a chemically uniform material in all components of the tufting carpet, the latter can be recycled as a whole for recovery of the monomeric starting material without the need for separation into the individual components, which has hitherto hampered the recycling of tufting carpets and led to major waste disposal problems.

Abstract: A device for the recognition and readjustment of variations in the cylindrical yarn deposit at the insides of flanges (23,23') of warp beams or sectional warp beams (24) in warping machines has two sensor heads (4,4') with three sensors (1,2,3;1',2',3') at each flange (22,22') and the corresponding switching and control devices.

Abstract: A clamping brake for selectively braking each thread in a warp mill having a plural number of threads includes first and second brake disks which can move together to brake a thread in a thread guide positioned between the brake disks. The second brake disk is moved by pneumatic fluid, opposed by either gravity or a spring force.

Abstract: A warping creel with bobbins of threads to be warped arranged side-by-side and one-above-the-other having swing-out creel gates 9 carrying thread guides 14, 14', 14" which provide access to the individual bobbins 10. Guiding elements 12 for each thread 4 guide the threads 4 to the warping machine 6 initially vertically over the creel, than horizontally above the creel.

Abstract: A method of producing a flat polymeric yarn is disclosed which includes the steps of melt spinning a polymer to form a plurality of running filaments, combining the filaments to form a running bundle of filaments, and then guiding the running bundle into contact with a ribbon of fluid so as to apply a controlled quantity of the fluid to the bundle. The fluid coated bundle is guided over a plurality of serially arranged curved braking surfaces, and it is then withdrawn by means of a draw roll so as to draw the running bundle to an extent which exceeds its plastic limit. The application of the fluid to the bundle in accordance with the present invention results in a hydrodynamic friction, rather than a sliding contact friction, between the bundle and braking surfaces, and produces yarn of very uniform quality while also avoiding wear of the braking surfaces.
