  • Patent number: 5647405
Abstract: The device for winding coils for electrical machines has a spindle box which can be displaced along a guide, a multi-part template held thereon fixed against relative rotation, which can be axially aligned with a coil receiver and can be adjusted to be variable in width. A wire guide rotates around the template and in the process creates coil windings. When the coil width is changed, it is necessary to correctingly adjust the spindle box, so that the alignment of a part of the template with the coil receiver is maintained. A measuring system is provided to assure this axial alignment of the parts with great certainty, which measures the distance between a point on the template part and a point on the spindle box as well as the distance between a point on the spindle box and a point on the machine frame.

  • Patent number: 5213436
Abstract: The invention is directed to a spring joint having two holding bodies. The spring joint is fixedly attached to a base at one of the holding bodies. The second holding body is provided for the attachment of a component which is intended to undergo a pivot movement relative to the base during operation. A spring element acts as a connecting body between the two holding bodies. A stop is mounted on the spring joint so that the spring joint can be used again after impact loads or intermittent vibration. This stop includes at least one stop body which limits the movement range of the spring body in the spring joint for radial and axial load to the elastic range.

  • Patent number: 4562642
Abstract: Apparatus for winding and insertion of coils in stators or rotors of electrical machines has a winding station and an insertion station, between which insertion tools 14 are transported by means of a rotary table 10. At the winding station, there is a template 24 which cooperates with a winding nozzle 26. Covering strip mechanism 44 has a rotationally movable guide duct 62 and guide portion 70, by means of which insulating strips 58 are introduced successively into ducts 52 provided for them between the tongues 50 of insertion tool 14. To reach with the guide duct 62 and guide portion 70, all the ducts 52 are situated on circumferences of different size depending on the particular insertion tool 14. Guide portion 70 is rotatable about the central longitudinal axis of insertion tool 14 by means of an adjusting motor 48, and is adjustable radially by means of an adjusting motor 46.

  • Patent number: 4502589
Abstract: A method and apparatus for making packets of rotor or stator sheets for electrical machinery. At a certain station to which a preselected number of sheets are delivered, the sheets are both aligned and joined together. Aligning is effected by an aligning device which includes aligning pins which move into openings in the sheets. While the sheets are still at the aligning station, joining means effect joining together of the sheets. The joining means may include a piston pressed into the opening in the sheets and/or a device for welding the sheets together. At a packet receiving station before the aligning and joining station relatively high stacks of sheets are placed into magazine baskets suspended from a central turntable member. A piston pushes a predetermined number of such sheets upwardly through its respective basket into a receiving head which carries those sheets to the aligning and joining station. The finished packets are then carried by the aligning joining means to a discharging station.

  • Patent number: 4457347
Abstract: A device for winding coils for electric motors is improved by simplifying the gripping element that holds and grips the wires. The device includes a winding template, a winding nozzle, a receiver for the coils, and the gripping element. In previous devices, the gripping element is moved in three dimensions, requiring a relatively complex system to control its motion. In the present invention, the gripping element is moved in two dimensions only which simplifies its construction and control, but without sacrificing any of its functions.

  • Patent number: 4439100
Abstract: A device for separating and taking off of one or more notched stamped sheets from a stack of sheets located in a receiving magazine is provided. A tool having first and second tool parts which are movable relative to one another is used to remove the sheets. The first tool part includes a first surface which engages the notched sheets to cause the sheets to slide on one another in the plane of separation. The sliding movement of the sheets is of a limited distance such that the sheets do not come into engagement in the region of their notches. A second surface is also provided on the first or second tool part for engaging and applying pressure against at least one location of the sheets which is exposed during the relative sliding movement between the sheets. In this manner, the sliding sheets are separated from one another in a direction normal to the plane of separation and thereafter a relative transverse movement between the sliding sheets can take place without danger of catching.

  • Patent number: 4365851
Abstract: In order to prevent the occurrence of friction and attendant wear of the device for returning the lubricant from a porous body forming a lubricant reservoir to a bearing surface, a circumferential slot is formed bounded on one side by a helically grooved surface (32) adjoining the bearing surface and rotating with the shaft (10, 18) forming a pump and on the other side by a porous surface of the porous lubricant reservoir (14, 16) which thus does not touch the bearing parts (20-24) rotating with the shaft (10, 18). The slot (36) preferably narrows in the direction of rotation, and the slot (36) is widened into axially extending chambers (38) distributed along its circumference.
