    Abstract: A direct voltage-direct voltage converter including: a transformer having at least one primary winding and at least one secondary winding; first and second electronic switches connected to the primary winding; a rectifier unit connecting the secondary winding to a load; and switch control circuitry connected to the electronic switches for closing the switches periodically and in alternation at a selected repetition rate in response to pulses produced by a clock pulse generator, for applying a direct voltage across the primary winding and periodically reversing the polarity of that direct voltage across the primary winding.
