  • Patent number: 8146945
Abstract: A motor vehicle steering column includes a bracket fixed to the vehicle and a steering column tube. The steering column tube may be adjusted in inclination relative to the bracket fixed to the vehicle via an adjusting device. The adjusting device includes a lever which is mounted pivotably on the bracket and may be deflected about a pivot axis by a driving device. The motor vehicle steering column may permit a maximum inclination setting irrespective of the available construction space. A deflecting clamp which is connected pivotably to the steering column tube is coupled to an output end of the lever.

  • Publication number: 20080191455
Abstract: A safety steering column (1) is provided for a motor vehicle, which has a telescopic steering spindle (2) with an upper spindle part (3) which is near to the steering wheel and a lower spindle part (4) which is remote from the steering wheel, and is rotatably mounted in a jacket tube (5). The jacket tube (5) is of telescopic design and has an upper tube part (6) which is near to the steering wheel and a lower tube part (7) which is remote from the steering wheel, the lower tube part (7) being mounted so as to be pivotable about a first axis (10) on a bracket (9) which can be arranged fixed to the vehicle. In addition, an adjustment device which serves to vertically adjust the safety steering column (1) and has an actuating element (12) which is mounted so as to be pivotable about a second axis (14) is provided.

  • Patent number: 7258365
Abstract: A steering column arrangement has an outer jacket tube as well as an inner jacket tube, which is displaceable within the former, as well as an adjusting device effective between the two jacket tubes for displacing one jacket tube in relation to the other jacket tube. The adjusting device comprises a drive unit and a servo component. The drive unit should be releasably fastened to a guiding device, and the drive unit should be mounted in a fashion permitting displacement along the guiding device.

  • Patent number: 6886859
Abstract: In order to create a clamping mechanism for an adjustable steering column of a motor vehicle, the clamping mechanism is provided with a clamping device and with an electrical actuator, which drives a clamping element that may be moved between a clamped position and an unclamped position. The electrical actuator is fixed to a support mounting, which may be compactly arranged on the steering column, in proximity to the clamping device, and the support mounting of the actuator may be integrally formed with a component of the clamping element.

  • Patent number: 5884534
Abstract: An elastic covering cap for a foot-pedal of a motor vehicle which can be produced economically, while functioning well and having a pleasing aesthetic effect. For this purpose, the covering cap includes, on its foot-rest surface, a multiplicity of studs which have a mushroom-like shape and over the mushroom heads of which a perforated ornamental plate can be snapped on so as to be form-lockingly fitted underneath the mushroom heads.
