  • Patent number: 4392714
Abstract: The invention relates to an overhead power cable for the simultaneous transmission of electrical energy and data signals. The cable has one of more layers of electrically conductive wires. Inside these layers, light conducting fibers are provided. Each fiber has a mantle of synthetic resin. Furthermore, all fibers are surrounded by a common sheath of synthetic resin. According to the invention the light conducting fibers are stranded with or around one or more strength members with a strand-length from 5 to 15 times the diameter of the strand. Furthermore the core of fibers and wires is provided with a band of synthetic resin within the sheath. A seamless metal shield is arranged between the sheath of synthetic resin and the wire layers.

  • Patent number: 4274442
Abstract: PCT No. PCT/DE78/00020 Sec. 371 Date May 4, 1979 Sec. 102(e) Date May 4, 1979 PCT Filed Aug. 14, 1978 PCT Pub. No. WO79/00134 PCT Pub. Date Mar. 22, 1979Mixer valve for sanitary engineering with a slide plate, adjustable by means of a handle, to regulate the mixture ratio and outflow volume of tap water. For the precise and comfortable setting of the mixed water temperature in the preferred setting range, particularly between 30.degree. and 45.degree. C., and for the simple, space-saving and cost-favorable manufacture of the device, it is proposed to arrange the slide-plate parallel to the center axis in the valve housing and mount it in a movable and slewable manner around a rotational axis displaceable parallel to the center axis, whereby the slide plate is guided by a head piece displaced in relation to the center axis and protruding from the valve housing on a lever mounted to allow upwards and downwards movement in the jacket of a head housing mounted rotatably around the center axis.

  • Patent number: 3950676
Abstract: A transmission line carries power cables and twin wire communication lines. The coupling unit consists of an elongated, oil filled insulating body having metal caps closing off its opposite ends. The twin wires are brought to the low impedance terminals of an autotransformer which also has a pair of high impedance terminals and a center tap. Each of the high impedance terminals is coupled through a coupling capacitor to the high impedance terminals of a second autotransformer mounted within the second metal cap. The second autotransformer also has a center tap and also has a pair of low impedance terminals for connection to the communications equipment. The center tap of the first autotransformer is connected through a capacitor or a cathode drop arrester to the first metal cap. Overvoltage arresters are connected from the center tap to the low impedance and to the high impedance terminals of both autotransformers.
