  • Patent number: 5607482
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for textile printing with aqueous dispersions in which an organic fixing agent is crosslinked with a blocked polyisocyanate having (i) an average molecular weight of about 800 to about 25,000, (ii) a content of blocked isocyanate groups, calculated as free NCO and based on non-blocked polyisocyanate, corresponding to an NCO content of about 5 to about 20% by weight, (iii) an ionic group content of about 1 to about 75 milliequivalents per 100 g of blocked polyisocyanate, and (iv) a content of polyalkylene oxide units of about 1 to about 20% by weight, based on blocked polyisocyanate, said blocked polyisocyanate being obtained by the reaction of(a) organic polyisocyanates,(b) isocyanate-reactive compounds containing (potential) ionic groups,(c) polyalkylene ether alcohols,(d) NCO blocking agents, and(e) optionally, isocyanate-reactive compounds that are different from components (b), (c), and (d).

  • Patent number: 5372610
Abstract: Dyed raw cellulose can be bleached in a bleaching and after-treatment bath containing, in addition to usual stabilizers, cationic-monomeric and/or polymeric compounds and, if desired, nonionic surfactants. Bleaching is carried out with the aid of aqueous-hydrogen peroxide. The stabilizers that can be used and the cationic compounds are defined in the specification. Nonionic tensides, if their co-use is desired, are those of the class polyglycolethers.

  • Patent number: 5115013
Abstract: Aqueous dispersions of copolymers and/or graft copolymers composed of ethylenically unsaturated perfluoroalkyl monomers and perfluoroalkyl-free ethylenically unsaturated monomers can be prepared by polymerization in the presence of aqueous, emulsifier-free polyurethane dispersions as the graft base based on compounds containing perfluoroalkyl groups and active hydrogen atoms and compounds containing ionic and/or nonionic hydrophilic groups and active hydrogen atoms and polyisocyanates and can be used for the oil-repellent and water-repellent finishing of textiles, carpets, leather and paper.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 12, 1991
Date of Patent: May 19, 1992
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Jutta Rottger, Karl-Heinz Passon, Wolf-Dieter Schroer, Wilfried Kortmann, deceased
  • Patent number: 5093398
Abstract: Aqueous dispersions of copolymers and graft copolymers of ethylenically unsaturated perfluoroalkyl monomers having at least 6 C atoms in the perfluorinated chain and ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing no perfluoroalkyl groups, which additionally contain certain ester compounds which cannot be used as comonomers, are outstandingly suitable for finishing textile materials, leather and the like. Excellent oleophobic and hydrophobic effects are obtained.
