  • Patent number: 5338325
Abstract: A filter cartridge (16) for cleaning the dedusting filter of a silo by means of an air nozzle (26) into which air is blown intermittently and which is disposed above a filter cartridge (16), provided with a filter jacket (18), in the filter 12, characterized in that at least one blanking body (22) is provided in the interior of the filter cartridge (16) and is practically out of contact with the filter jacket (18) of the filter cartridge, said body being closed on all sides or its opening being so positioned in the filter cartridge with respect to the air nozzle (38, 40) that no air can be bloom into it through the air nozzle (38, 40).

  • Patent number: 4726820
Abstract: Filter hoses in a dust filter of a silo are cleaned by blowing air into the hoses in a shocklike manner when there is a predetermined overpressure in the silo. At least one additional cleaning cycle occurs after the overpressure drops.

  • Patent number: 4338752
Abstract: A storage silo includes a support structure and a disassemblable container mounted on the support structure with its longitudinal axis extending vertically. The container includes a plurality of neighboring sections which conically diverge in the downward direction and have upper and lower end portions which overlap one another in assembled condition of the container. The sections fit into one another in disassembled condition to form a transportation package; a discharge hopper of downwardly converging conical configuration is also accommodated, in inverted condition, in the transportation package, as is a protective railing which, in the assembled condition, is mounted on the top of the container. The lower end portions of the upper sections may fittingly surround, or may be fittingly received within, the upper end portions of the respective downwardly adjacent sections in the assembled condition, and these cooperating end portions are connected to one another by screws, bolts, or similar connectors.

  • Patent number: 4182591
Abstract: Apparatus for transferring pulverulent or granular material from an opening at the lower end of a silo into a vessel which is moved to a position below such opening has a vertical duct with a rigid upper section which is affixed to the silo, a rigid lower section which is surrounded by and is rigidly connected to a downwardly tapering funnel and serves to discharge flowable material into the vessel by way of an opening in the top wall of the vessel, and a bellows which is disposed between and is separably connected with the two rigid sections. The lower section and the funnel are movable up and down by means of a winch and several cables or chains whose lower end portions are attached to the funnel and/or to the lower section. A cover which normally overlies the open upper side of the funnel is movable to a raised position in which it surrounds the upper section of the duct.

  • Patent number: 4040218
Abstract: A vessel, particularly a silo, has an upright shell of circular outline wherein a median part supports an upper part and rests on a lower part. Each of the upper and median parts consists of four arcuate sections which are secured to each other by strips or bars and screws, and the lower portion of the lower part tapers downwardly toward the axis of the shell. The upper portion of the lower part is a collar including a ring of triangular cross section which supports the median part and rests on four ground-contacting supports. The collar consists of four arcuate sections which abut against each other in planes including the axis of the shell and are secured to each other by upright T-bulb-section bars each having two flanges which are secured to the outer sides of neighboring sections of the collar by vertical rows of screws and a bulb which is remote from the collar and is located between the respective rows of screws to afford access to such screws.
