  • Patent number: 12128966
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a steer-by-wire system for a motor vehicle including a steering rod, an electric servo unit configured to move the steering rod, and a sliding bearing which radially supports the steering rod in a housing. The housing, the sliding bearing, and the steering rod have complementary geometries whereby the steering rod is prevented from rotating. The sliding bearing includes multiple segments in the circumferential direction, at least one segment of the multiple segments is a sliding bearing location for the radial support. At least one segment of the multiple segments is a first supporting element configured to prevent rotation in one direction of rotation. At least one segment of the multiple segments is a second supporting element configured to prevent rotation in the opposite direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 7735508
Abstract: A rotary slide valve, in particular for speed-dependent power steering systems in motor vehicles, has a torsion bar, a rotary slide, and a control bushing. The control bushing is pressed onto a pinion and the torsion bar is inserted into a torsion bar bore of the pinion. The control bushing is connected rotation-fast to the pinion by shaping. The torsion bar has teeth that are pressed into the torsion bar bore of the pinion and that connect the torsion bar to the pinion rotation-fast.

  • Patent number: 6612336
Abstract: A rotary disk valve for motor vehicle power steering systems includes rotary disk which is connected non-rotatably to a valve inlet element. A control bushing is connected non-rotatably to a valve outlet element. These two valve elements are disposed so that they are coaxially movable into one another and are rotatable by at most the amount of torsion of a dead travel coupling. The two valve elements have longitudinal control grooves, which interact with one another for controlling a pressure medium to and from two working areas of a servo motor and to a return connection for a pressure medium container. The rotary disk is connected via a torsion bar spring to the valve outlet element. The longitudinal control grooves of the radially internal valve element connected to the return connection are connected to an internal space of the radially internal valve element. The torsion bar spring is supported in this internal space via a roller bearing.

  • Patent number: 6267144
Abstract: A rotary slide valve (1) for power steering in motor vehicles contains a rotary slide (2), which is non-rotatably connected to a valve inlet member (4). The control bushing (3) is non-rotatably connected to a valve outlet member (5). The two valve elements are disposed so that they can move coaxially inside each other and can be maximally rotated in relation to each other over the rotational path of a lost motion coupling. The outside of the rotary slide (2) and the inside of the control bushing have control longitudinal grooves (6, 7), which cooperate with one another in order to direct a pressure fluid to and from two working areas of a servomotor The rotary slide (2) is connected to the valve outlet member (5) by means of a torsion bar spring (9). Manufacture conditional tolerances that can lead to undesirable effects in the driving behavior are compensated for by means of a play-free suspension connection (10).
