  • Publication number: 20100074740
Abstract: The invention relates to a vane ring of a turbo engine, particularly a gas turbine, comprising a vane support ring and several guide vanes that are mounted on the vane support ring. According to the invention, the vane support ring and the guide vanes are made of different materials, the materials of which the guide vanes are made being of a higher quality than the material of which the vane support ring is made.

  • Patent number: 5267694
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines having a nozzle body secured on a nozzle holder, and a valve needle that is axially displaceable in the nozzle holder, the valve needle being raised from a valve seat for fuel injection by the fuel pressure, counter to a closing spring assembly of first and second helical compression springs disposed in series. The total stroke of the valve needle is divided into a prestroke and a remaining stroke. To attain an injection nozzle having the smallest possible outside diameter, the spring chamber receiving the closing springs comprises a blind bore of substantially constant diameter, on a bottom of which the first closing spring is supported. To support the second closing spring, a pressure shoulder part in the form of a ring is inserted into the blind bore; the pressure shoulder part is fixed by deformation of contacting parts of the wall of the nozzle holder.

  • Patent number: 5061119
Abstract: A method for the remediation of contaminated soils, in which, without transport of the soil to the surface, a loosening of the soil structure is achieved by progressively injecting a liquid under high pressure into at least one cylindrically shaped soil body. Besides loosening the soil the liquid also serves as a carrier and transport medium for at least one effective substance, which decomposes and/or converts the respective contaminant on site. By this method, the effective substances are uniformly distributed in the soil treatment zones and reach the contaminants even in heterogeneous soil structures.

  • Patent number: 4543184
Abstract: A cake filtration apparatus in a structural unit which comprises a plate filter and a filtering aid-dosing device which includes an agitator. The drive parts for rotating the filter unit are disposed on the top wall of the filter housing, and are connected with the drive of the agitator by means of a transmission device and a freewheel coupling. The shaft of the filter unit is only sealingly and rotatably mounted in the vicinity of the bottom of the housing. The bottom plate, the height of which is adjustable for removal of the centrifuged filter cake, is constructed in the manner of a disk valve having a valve seat, and can be raised and lowered independently of the filter unit, so that for centrifuging and removal of the filter cake, the filter unit no longer has to be raised or in some other manner moved out of its operating position.

  • Patent number: 4473964
Abstract: A recoilless competition rifle or competition pistol with an action which is mounted and guided in the firearm so as to be longitudinally displaceable on bearings and which returns during firing. The bearings have special beddings which compensate for deviations of the bearing axes from their ideal desired positions by adapting their shape to the particular conditions. Bearings made of elastic materials provide for a reversible displacement of material. Beddings comprise materials which can be poured or kneaded and which then solidify in situ to assume their final form as a result of direct shaping (initial shaping) on the delimiting surfaces.
