  • Patent number: 4525935
Abstract: Wet laundry 10 in a vessel 12 supported on a drainage plate 14 is dewatered by a combination of mechanical pressure applied by a platen 33 and air flow through the platen and laundry. The platen is initially brought down upon the laundry by a cylinder 42 to compress it and squeeze out about half of the water, and drying air is simultaneously forced through the vessel from top to bottom via the platen and plate to remove additional moisture. The platen pressure may be reduced to enhance the air flow.

    Filed: November 9, 1982
Date of Patent: July 2, 1985
Assignee: Herbert Kannegiesser GmbH & Co.

  • Patent number: 4270563
Abstract: A safety device for preventing overpressures in low pressure reservoirs receiving compressed gas through a feedline connected to a high pressure source is disclosed including a spherical stopcock in the feedline. A cylinder is provided in pressure communication with the low pressure reservoir with a spring-biased piston arranged within the cylinder. Connected to the piston and projecting from the cylinder is a toothed rack having teeth which intermesh with teeth of a rotatable, toothed segment connected to the stopcock. Motion of the piston, in response to pressure changes in the low pressure reservoir, causes the toothed rack to open or close the stopcock. A hole in the wall of the cylinder allows excess compressed air or gas to escape to the atmosphere in the event that the maximum allowable pressure within the low pressure reservoir is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 4212614
Abstract: The clamping plates 17, 18 and mold support 11 of an expandable plastics molding apparatus are all pivotally mounted, and are provided with holding devices in the form of a disc brake 49 cooperable with a brake disc segment 50 to prevent their undesired pivotal movement.

  • Patent number: 4191523
Abstract: An apparatus for molding shaped bodies from foamable plastics such as foamable polyurethane resin material comprises a two-piece mold 20, 21 fastened to two clamping plates 17, 18 of a mold holder 11, all of which can revolve around parallel axes 34, 35, 36. The upper plate 18 can move toward the fixed lower plate 17 and back again. The plates are locked and urged together during the molding process by pairs of hydraulic cylinders 28, 29 and 30, 31 mounted on opposite sides of the mold halves 20, 21.

  • Patent number: 4083671
Abstract: A pair of spaced, parallel guide posts 18, 19 are mounted on and perpendicular to a lower platen 12 which supports a first mold half 20. A traversing member 33 is slidably mounted on the guide posts, and an upper platen 13 supporting a second mold half 21 is hinged to the traversing member for pivotal movement about an axle 14 laterally offset from the lower platen. A double acting operating cylinder 15 is hingedly mounted to the lower platen near the guide posts and to the upper platen near the hinged axle 14, and controls both the movement of the upper platen toward and away from the lower platen in a parallel orientation, and the pivotal movement of the upper platen after the traversing member has reached its upper limit of travel.

  • Patent number: 4032414
Abstract: A device for the partial electro plating of two-row pin strips utilizing an endless chain of pin strip carrying transfer carriages to move the pin strips through a succession of treatment areas, the pin strips being automatically fed onto the carriages in electrical conductive contact therewith and being automatically stripped from the carriages upon termination of processing.
