  • Patent number: 6065367
Abstract: An actuation device for a lock of a multi-point safety belt to be placed in a position of use against a body of a user of the safety belt includes a rotatable cup-shaped locking head, wherein at least one recess in provided in the circumference of the locking head in a downwardly directed circumferential portion in the position of use of the locking head, and wherein the recess in configured as a finger recess. The locking head further may include a circumferential portion located diametrically opposite the finger recess and facing upwardly in the position of use, wherein the at least flattened finger depression has a radius greater than the radius of the finger recess.

  • Patent number: 5340046
Abstract: An energy converter comprises a sleeve with a sleeve channel. A longitudinal groove is configured in the wall of the sleeve channel. A shank of a bolt is introduced into the sleeve channel. An L-shaped deformation member having an arresting leg is introduced into a lateral bore of the bolt shank, wherein then the sleeve leg comes to rest in the longitudinal groove of the sleeve and at the outer surface of the bolt shank. The sleeve and the bolt are thus secured against rotation. The bolt has a hexagonal bolt head, which can be positionally fixed in a matchingly configured aperture in the cheek of the belt fitting. If a predetermined force F acts upon the belt band, the sleeve and the bolt turn relative to one another and the deformation member pulls out of the longitudinal groove while rolling around the bolt shank.

  • Patent number: 5234181
Abstract: A seat belt for a pilot seat or flight attendant seat in an aircraft includes a belt tightener with a reversible energy storage member in the form of a helical compression spring and a rod-shaped energy converter coupled to the energy storage member. The energy converter is at least indirectly connected to a belt member of the seat belt. After the belt member has been tightened and the energy converter has been displaced as a result with an at least partial regeneration of the energy storage member, a cutting chisel penetrates the surface of the energy converter and dampens the movement of the belt member. A renewed activation of the energy storage member after the deceleration phase is prevented by the penetration of a clamping edge of a clamping member in the surface of the energy converter.
