Abstract: A single coin carriage bar for use with a coin control device wherein the coin control device includes a coin totalizer mechanism having an actuator registered portion for accumulatively totaling the value of coins deposited in the coin controlled mechanism to control dispensing from the coin control device. The single coin carriage bar comprises an elongated member having four coin engaging elements extending outwardly therefrom. The integral spacing between successive adjacent coin engaging elements decreasing longitudinally along the length of the elongated member to selectively engage coins of different values deposited in the coin control device.

Abstract: A coin controlled mechanism for use with a dispensing device having an access door including a locking assembly operatively controlled by the coin controlled mechanism wherein the coin controlled mechanism comprises a housing configured to operatively support an actuator to control the opening of the door and a totalizer to calculate the cumulative total of coins registered by the coin controlled mechanism. A coin chute comprising a plurality of coin passages is formed in a single plane and controls the direction of coins with respect to the particular denomination thereof. An actuator control assembly is provided to control the incremental advance of the totalizer. The totalizer and coin chute are arranged relative to one another such that coins passing through the coin chute to engage and incrementally advance the totalizer in response to coins whereby the locking assembly is released upon totalizing or calculating a predetermined price total.

Abstract: A coin controlled mechanism for use with a dispensing device having an access door including latch operatively controlled by the coin controlled mechanism wherein the coin controlled mechanism comprises a totalizer including a totalizer operator, totalizer register and totalizer actuator to calculate the cumulative total of coins fed to the coin controlled mechanism and totalizer control including an actuator stop and stop actuator to control the incremental advance of the totalizer, a coin chute comprising a single coin passage to control the coins, a totalizer lock to prevent inadvertent actuation of the totalizer and totalizer release and reset to release the totalizer lock and reset the totalizer register and operator.

Abstract: A coin totalizer mechanism utilized in vending machines or the like for the purpose of providing access to the contents of a given machine upon the depositing of a predetermined amount of coins into the mechanism. A coin chute defines a common flow path through which coins of various denominations pass and are directed into engagement with a totalizer actuator element substantially in the form of a walking beam having a portion thereof positionable in driving engagement with a register. Free selective incremental advancement of the register is accomplished by actuation of the coins having predetermined coin characteristics, including size and weight, with a totalizer actuator element positionable to regulate, at least in part, movable engagement between the walking beam or a portion thereof and the register.
