  • Patent number: 4642846
Abstract: The cabinet hinge mounting plate can be fastened to a cabinet wall by means of screws passing through openings provided in it in the form of slots. The slots are configured such that the screws associated with each of them, which are threaded only on a portion of their length but have an unthreaded section adjacent the screw head, will be held temporarily by their threaded portion in a central position in the length of the slot, but when they are driven all the way in they will be displaceable lengthwise of the slot. The slots have in the area of their central portion projections protruding each toward the opposite slot edge for the purpose of holding the crests of the threads of the associated fastening screws. At their upper side facing the head of the screws the slots are provided with a rebate which is engaged by a centering section of the screw, which is formed in the transition between the head and the shaft of the screw.

  • Patent number: 4615074
Abstract: Four-joint cabinet hinge of increased opening angle. In a four-joint cabinet hinge (10) with an opening angle of more than 105.degree. the cup (14) that is provided as the door-related part and is to be fastened in a recess in the back of a corresponding door leaf is manufactured by the punch-press method from thin sheet steel. Different possibilities are described for the configuration and mounting of short pivot pins projecting from the inside wall of the cup and serving for the pivoting of the outer hinge link (16) on the door.

  • Patent number: 4615072
Abstract: A cabinet hinge having a supporting arm (24) which is adjustably mounted on a mounting plate (22) which can be fastened on the supporting wall (20) of a cabinet. The arm has a longitudinal slot (30) which is open at its cabinet-interior end and through which passes a mounting screw driven into the mounting plate (22). A headless screw (38) is driven into a tap provided nearer to the outer end of the supporting arm, and a holding block in the form of a ball (42) is provided at the bottom end of the headless screw. The holding ball is pushed into a narrow-mouthed, open-ended slot (44) that is provided in the mounting plate, which holds the ball securely against lifting while permitting it to be displaced longitudinally.

  • Patent number: 4611957
Abstract: A fixture for the adjustable mounting of board-like furniture parts on the work table of a drilling machine. Underneath the drilling head of the machine, backstop rails which project slightly above the supporting surface of the work table are disposed in alignment with one another and longitudinally displaceably at equal distances on opposite sides of a longitudinal central plane. The ends of a threaded spindle are threaded into the ends of the backstop rails adjacent the drilling head, the threaded spindle being provided on each half with contrary threads of equal pitch. The threaded spindle is mounted rotatably but in a longitudinally undisplaceable manner on the work table. Cursors are longitudinally displaceable on the upper sides of the backstop rails and can be fixed at given uniform distances on the associated backstop rail, and each bears a stop which is biased to a position projecting toward the surface of the work table, and which can be retracted into the cursor against the bias.

  • Patent number: 4590641
Abstract: Crosslink hinge for mounting a door on the carcass of a cabinet. The door-related part of the crosslink hinge can be affixed in a recess in the door and is composed of an attaching member and a link holder disposed in the attaching member. To vary the position of the door, the link holder is displaceable at right angles to the pivot axis of the hinge and parallel to the door back and can be fixed in the desired position. The carcass-related part of the hinge has on its bottom an inverted-T-shaped projection which can be inserted into a complementary T-shaped socket in its mounting plate. A set screw is threaded into the mounting plate to fix the carcass-related hinge part thereon.

  • Patent number: 4549831
Abstract: A joining hardware set for the releasable joining of the back wall of a cabinet to the carcass walls thereof. The hardware set has a back wall-related component in the form of an elongated case open at the bottom, which can be affixed to the back wall, and a carcass-related component which is covered by the back wall-related component when the latter is properly installed and which can be fastened to the carcass wall, the carcass-related component having a sloping engagement surface. A tightening means in the form of a circularly or spirally defined disk is journaled at a point offset from the axis of rotation, and its circumferential surface is a tightening surface which slopes at an angle complementary to the engagement surface of the top section.

  • Patent number: 4517706
Abstract: Cabinet hinge having a supporting arm which can be snapped onto the mounting plate. The supporting arm (16) of the hinge is adjustably fastened to the mounting plate (14) that is previously mounted on the supporting wall (12) of a cabinet, and it has a slot (34) which is open at the end remote from the hinge articulation or is provided with an enlarged pass-through opening to admit the head (38) of a mounting screw (40) driven into the mounting plate (14). The mounting plate (14) is provided with a spring catch (wire spring 72) projecting beyond its lateral surface and associated with an abutment on the confronting inside surface of the supporting arm (16). The position of this abutment with respect to the tip (78) of the spring catch is selected such that the tip engages the abutment as soon as the shank of the mounting screw (40) reaches the area of transition from the slot (34) to the pass-through opening (36) or open end, as the case may be, of the slot.

  • Patent number: 4509882
Abstract: A clamping fastener (12) having two substantially cylindrical insert bodies (18, 20) each having a flat extending parallel to the central axis of the cylindrical body. The cylindrical bodies are respectively insertable into a complementary recess (16) provided in the moldings (10) to be connected and cutting through the meeting surface of the respective molding. A coupling bar (26) protruding from the flat of one insert body (20) protrudes into an opening (28) in the flat of the other insert body (18). The coupling bar is adapted to be pulled into the opening (28) by an eccentric fastening device in such a way that the meeting surfaces (14) of the moldings (10) to be connected, are pulled towards each other and are tightened.

  • Patent number: 4500140
Abstract: A slide for drawers and the like, to be provided in pairs on opposite sides of a drawable furniture part and an associated carcass wall. It has a profiled cabinet rail (26) to be connected to the carcass wall (14) and a drawer rail (18) to be connected to the drawer. At the front end of the cabinet rail and at the rear end of the drawer rail there is rotatably journaled a roller (32;24) running on the drawer and cabinet rail respectively. An adjusting key (34) is longitudinally displaceably arranged at the cabinet rail and rests against the drawer rail. The connection of the key at the cabinet rail is such that, upon longitudinal displacement, a displacement component transverse to the drawing direction is superimposed on it, whereby an adjustment of the transverse play of the drawer between the carcass walls is possible.

  • Patent number: 4457047
Abstract: Over-center hinge (10) whose jamb-related part is in the form of a supporting arm (16) coupled by two links (18 and 20) to the door-related part (14) in the manner of a four-joint hinge. In the linkage end of the supporting arm (16) there is provided a thruster (26) whose one end is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable under resilient bias and rotatable about the fixed pivot (28) of one of the hinge links (18), and whose other end, which is provided with a cam (42-44), is urged against a crosspiece (36) in the supporting arm (16). By way of studs (50) on the other hinge link (20), which are guided by a cam (48), the thruster (26) is swung during the hinge movement, while in the vicinity of the closed position a ramp surface (44) cooperates with the crosspiece (36) in such a manner that the thruster (26) is swung towards the second hinge link (20 ) and exerts a force thereon acting in the closing direction.
