    Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided which are effective in treating ovarian cancer. These compositions are easily administered by long term infusion schedules of at least 72 hours, and can be given in dosages that are safe and provide for manageable side effects. These methods and compositions for treating ovarian cancer in patients whose tumors progressed or failed to respond during prior taxane treatment of shorter duration. Surprisingly, it has been shown that longer infusion periods, such as 96 hours, give substantially lower neuropathy and certain other side effects than shorter term infusions.
