  • Patent number: 11135837
Abstract: Embodiments of a method of printing low volumes of paper bags on a digital printing press are provided. In the method, a plurality of orders are received. Each order includes a particular format relating to a bag size selected from a predetermined number of bag sizes and a graphic to be printed. In the method, the plurality of orders are organized into a plurality of batches. Each batch includes orders of the plurality of orders having a same bag size. A first batch is selected, and the graphic of the orders contained in the first batch is digitally printed on a first roll of paper having dimensions associated with the bag size of the first batch. The first roll of paper is fed through the digital printing press, and the digital printing press prints the graphic of each order contained in the first batch without stopping when transitioning between orders.

  • Patent number: 9340346
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a predetermined amount of material from a prefilled syringe. The dispenser includes a dispenser body and a plunger. The dispenser body includes a syringe mounting region and a nozzle portion through which the material is dispensed. The nozzle portion has a syringe dispensing end receiving cavity configured to mate with the dispensing end of the syringe and an outlet. A fluid flow path fluidly communicates the syringe dispensing end receiving cavity with the outlet and includes a measuring cavity having a predetermined volume. The plunger is carried by the dispenser body. The plunger has a retracted state in which the plunger is retracted from the measuring cavity such that the outlet is in fluid communication with the syringe dispensing end receiving cavity. The plunger has a depressed state in which the plunger extends through the measuring cavity to evacuate material from the measuring cavity.

  • Publication number: 20130245492
Abstract: A driver for engaging and dispensing fluid from a sealed, prefilled syringe is provided. The driver includes a body and a rotating actuator configured to engage a plunger of the prefilled syringe. The driver is configured such that rotation of the rotating actuator relative to the body imparts both rotational movement and axial movement to a plunger of the prefilled syringe resulting in ejection of fluid from the prefilled syringe.

  • Patent number: 7985483
Abstract: A method of coating low density polyethylene (LDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), or combinations of the two, is disclosed. The method includes treating the polyethylene with a coating and then digitally printing the coated polyethylene substrate. The coated substrate may then be over-coated to protect the printing and the substrate may be formed as desired. The coated substrate may also be coated with a clear thin protective coating and heat-sealed on three sides to form a small tote bag.

  • Publication number: 20080118746
Abstract: A low-cost method of coating low density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), or combinations of the two is disclosed. The method includes treating the polyethylene with a proprietary coating and then digitally printing the coated polyethylene substrate. The coated substrate may then be over-coated to protect the printing, and the substrate may then be formed as desired. For example, the substrate may then be coated with a clear thin protective coating and heat-sealed on three sides to form a small tote bag. The coated polyethylene is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6972067
Abstract: A system and method for producing flexible magnets includes apparatus for automatically feeding a plurality of individual, pre-printed sheets into continuous webs of a magnet material and a laminate to laminate the individual sheets to the web of magnet material in a continuous process. The laminated magnet material is then advanced to a cutting mechanism that cuts the magnet material into a plurality of individual flexible magnets. A registration sensor indexes each of the individual pre-printed sheets on the magnet material to the cutting mechanism.
