  • Publication number: 20240014578
Abstract: A multi-band antenna may include a first antenna array for operation in a first frequency range and a second antenna array for operation in a second frequency range that is higher than the first frequency range. The first antenna array may include at least one antenna element having a plurality of components, where at least one of the plurality of components is constructed with a frequency selective surface (FSS) comprising a plurality of FSS elements. The FSS may be configured for the at least one of the plurality of components to provide a rejection of a coupling of energy from the second frequency range, and for the at least one of the plurality of components to provide a transmission of signals in the first frequency range suitable for use in a cellular communication system.

  • Publication number: 20220338024
Abstract: A base station system may include at least one base station radio, at least one antenna, the at least one antenna including at least a first antenna comprising a linear array of antenna elements arranged in a vertical plane, and at least a one antenna distribution network for distributing radio frequency (RF) signals as component RF signals across the linear array of antenna elements of the at least the first antenna to form at least one beam in an elevation plane. In one example, the at least the one antenna feed network applies amplitude and phase weights to the component RF signals, wherein the amplitude and phase weights are selected to minimize RF coupling between the at least the first antenna and passive intermodulation sources in a near-field of the at least the first antenna.

  • Patent number: 10931032
Abstract: An antenna system includes unit cells arranged as an array of unit cells, each unit cell including at least one dual-polarized antenna element for operation in a first radio frequency (RF) range, and least one configured as an expanded diamond antenna element with first and second pairs of co-polarized radiating elements, the first and second pairs of co-polarized radiating elements having orthogonal polarizations. The unit cell for the at least one expanded diamond antenna element may have rectangular bounds, where first and second radiating elements of the first pair of co-polarized radiating elements are disposed in first opposite corners across a first diagonal of the rectangular bounds and within the rectangular bounds, and where first and second radiating elements of the second pair of co-polarized radiating elements are disposed in second opposite corners of the four corners across a second diagonal of the rectangular bounds and within the rectangular bounds.

  • Patent number: 9189735
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for providing sparse class representation with linear programming is provided. A first model is built using a positive data set. A second model is built using a negative data set. Linear programming is used to distinguishing the first model from the second model to determine a set of salient features for a filter for use as an image classifier.

  • Patent number: 8817879
Abstract: Methods and systems for processing video data are described. A set of candidate motion vectors is selected from motion vectors associated with macroblocks in a first frame of video data and from motion vectors associated with macroblocks in a second frame of the video data. A statistical measure of the set is determined. The statistical measure defines a motion vector for a macroblock of interest in the second frame.
