  • Patent number: 6696914
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical fuse for rotary current generators, having a rectifier assembly (14) for supplying a DC network, in particular in motor vehicles. To achieve simple, cost-effective and rapid-response fuse performance in the event of an overload, it is provided that a fuse element (21) be disposed in a line strand, carrying all the generator current, between the rectifier assembly (14) and a DC connection terminal (22) of the generator.

Date of Patent: February 24, 2004
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH

  • Patent number: 6667532
Abstract: The invention concerns a semiconductor power element (diode 18) having a lead (11) and a safety fuse (12) situated in the main current path that blows when overheated, particularly for use in the electrical system of motor vehicles. In order to achieve a previously determined, purposeful disconnection of the endangered element in order to avoid consequential damages when semiconductor power elements become overloaded, it is proposed that a segment (11b) of the lead (11) and/or its points of contact in the main current path of the semiconductor be designed as a safety fuse (12) that blows when a specified, current-dependent temperature value is reached.

  • Publication number: 20020167772
Abstract: The invention concerns a bridge rectifier for rotary current generators, in particular for supplying the electrical system of motor vehicles. It comprises rectifier diodes and a printed circuit board comprising an insulator (23) basically designed in the shape of a plate, in which multiple connection conductors (24) are embedded between the diodes of the rectifier bridges, whereby sections of these connection conductors are designed to be bent extending out of the insulator and as fuses (25) that melt in case of electrical overload. In order to achieve the smallest possible tolerances for operation of the fuses, each of the fuses (25) is formed out of two conductor ends (24a)-bent to the outside-of the connection conductors (24) and a fuse element (29) connected with them that bridges the conductor ends.

  • Patent number: 4642030
Abstract: An arrangement for feeding a fuel from a supply tank to an internal combustion engine, the arrangement comprises a motor; a multistage feed pump unit driven by the motor and including a flow pump having a rotor and a gerotor pump having an inner runner arranged so that the rotor and the inner runner have aligning axes of rotation and the flow pump is arranged upstream of the rotor pump as considered in the flow direction of a fuel, the rotor of the flow pump and the inner runner of the gerotor pump being located near one another as considered in an axial direction, the gerotor pump also having an outer runner which surrounds a feed chamber, and the rotor of the flow pump having a wall which axially limits the feed chamber surrounded by the outer runner of the gerotor pump.
