  • Patent number: 11254064
Abstract: Described is a heating means for thermally connecting two objects each having a plastic material, wherein, in the connecting, a first inner object is surrounded at least partially by a second outer object, and the heating means is located between the first inner object and the second outer object. The heating means has a ribbon-type structure, in which a plurality of openings is formed. These openings are dimensioned such that molten-on plastic material of the first inner object and/or of the second outer object can intrude and can connect to molten-on plastic material of the respective other object. Alternatively or in combination, the openings are filled with a plastic material, which can connect to molten-on plastic material of the first inner object and/or of the second outer object. • Publication number: 20130280345
Abstract: The invention describes an antimicrobial agent for the biocidal finishing of polymers, especially foam materials, based on a fine-pored foamed and fine-grained ground silvered glass, which in addition to a silver fraction also contains a fraction of zinc oxide. In order to provide an economical antimicrobial agent with good biocidal effect it is proposed that zinc oxide powder is admixed to the fine-grained silvered glass.

  • Patent number: 4384049
Abstract: In the manufacture of bodies of foamed plastic material, a polymeric synthetic resin base material is mixed with a cross-linking agent, a foaming agent and at least one further additive. The resulting mixture is shaped without a decomposition of the cross-linking and foaming agent and is subsequently heated to effect cross-linking and foaming. In order to obtain bodies of foamed plastic materials which owing to their high flexibility and low flammability are particularly suitable as heat-insulating materials in buildings, the base material consists only of a chlorinated polyethylene resin or a mixture of such resins and heat-stabilizing agents known for use with halogen-containing polymers are incorporated in the mixture.
