    Abstract: A method for regulating the speed of an engine of a vehicle, the vehicle being provided with a clutch which is operated by a vehicle control system for selectively connecting the engine to a gearbox for transmission of torque. When the speed of the engine is to be guided towards a set-point value, the speed of the engine is regulated by using the control system to regulate the torque transmitted by the clutch. Also a system performing the method and a vehicle comprising the system.
