  • Patent number: 5244068
Abstract: A device for limiting the number of revolutions of a shaft for a rotary drive for a sliding-lifting roof of an automobile is proposed. By the cooperation of a detent bolt, actuated by an actuating knob with a spring-loaded blocking pin and with a rotationally driven blocking ring, the shaft is blocked in rotation not only in the lid closure position, but also by a special construction of the blocking ring, in intermediate sliding and/or lifting positions of the sliding lid.

  • Patent number: 5108147
Abstract: A device for fastening a rigid preformed headliner (13) to horizontal flanges (12) of the roof frame (4) of a sliding or sliding/lifting roof construction by means of a clamping section (10). As a result of its special construction and attachment, the clamping section (10) allows a simple installation of the headliner (13) at the roof frame (4) so as not to be visible from the vehicle interior.

  • Patent number: 5039161
Abstract: In a sliding or sliding-lifting roof for a car, a lid, associated with a roof opening for the purpose of completely closing it, has a front edge which is wedge-shaped in cross-section. A sealing profile, sealingly filling the gap between the fixed vehicle roof and the lid when the lid is closed, is pushed from below onto a downward flange of the fixed vehicle roof and is deformable to form a trough, generally complementary in shape to the wedge shape. The wedge-shaped front edge here engages generally form-fittingly and force-transmittingly into the sealing profile, so that the lid, at its front edge due its engagement with the sealing profile, is reliably secured against high uplift forces, such as occur at high speeds of travel.

  • Patent number: 5028089
Abstract: A rigid lid for a sliding roof or a sliding-lifting roof, the lid having a lid shell, provided with a peripheral 90.degree. cranked edge, is painted separately from the other parts of the roof construction constituting a pre-assembled unit and is not installed until the pre-assembled unit has been installed into the bodywork of the automobile. The lid shell is secured by detent engagement to the reinforcing frame or to a holding frame fixed thereto after positioning and under the action of force from above. The edge gap sealing profile is secured to the reinforcing frame by pushing on from below before the lid shell is fitted.

  • Patent number: 4966409
Abstract: A multipart, telescopic shield for covering the lateral gap between the underside of a rigid sliding cover with which it is displaceable and the roof frame of a roof of a motor vehicle. The sliding cover has front and rear guide shoes which are guided on rails arranged laterally on the roof frame. In addition, the sliding cover has a water deflector which is displaceable therewith to underpin the rear edge gap between the cover and the fixed vehicle roof. The water deflector is also guided along the guide rail by guide shoes. The water deflector is connected to the cover by arms which are constructed as a shield.

  • Patent number: 4498703
Abstract: The present invention relates to a seat for airplanes, buses and like vehicles. The seat comprises a frame, an upholstery support, and a three-piece device for locking both sides of the upholstery support in a selectable pivot position. The locking device includes a stepless adjustable-length bar in the nature of a hydraulic piston, a body for connecting the front end of the hydraulic piston to a front cross member of the seat frame, and a pivot lever for attaching the rear end of the hydraulic piston to a rear cross member of the upholstery support.

  • Patent number: 4474406
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle seat, particularly for airplanes and buses. The seat has a support with an adjacent divider having a bore therethrough. A hollow pin has an end section detachably engaged in the bore of the adjacent seat divider. A back rest is mounted at one of its sides on the hollow pin. A connecting body is arranged in the bore of the seat divider and has a longitudinally threaded bore therethrough. A threaded bolt passes through the hollow pin and engages with the threaded bore through the connecting body. A folding table support is mounted on the threaded bolt for pivoting movement thereabout. A stop projects from the hollow pin and limits the pivot movement of the folding table support.

  • Patent number: 4470634
Abstract: A vehicle seat, particularly for airplanes or omnibuses and the like, wherein the seat is equipped with a retractable leg support which can be extended to provide a support for the legs of the user of the vehicle. In contrast to known seats of this type, the leg rest can be securely stopped and held in any intermediate position of the leg support between the two end positions. This is accomplished by means of a cog and chain or belt strand connected with drive means and a self-arresting gearing arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4190284
Abstract: A vehicle seat, especially for airplanes and omnibusses, having an arm rest formed as a box beam support with improved means for mounting a passenger control unit is disclosed. The control device, shiftable between use and non-use positions, is rotatably mounted to the front end of the arm rest between a pair of plastic guide strips affixed to the confronting side walls of the arm rest by means of resiliently biased pins on the control device rotatably engaging in aligned bores in the guide strips and side walls. The guide strips are formed with a straight portion and a curved portion having chamfered edges. An open-ended cross groove is provided on the curved portion for engaging a resiliently biased detent pin on the control device in its use position.
