  • Patent number: 4543939
Abstract: A fuel supply assembly for a gasoline internal combustion engine in which the amount of fuel supplied is controlled by an electromagnetic injection valve which in turn is controlled by an electronic controller subjected to operating parameters. The assembly comprises a fuel metering device and a vane pump in which is supplied a branch stream of air tapped from an inlet duct upstream of the throttle valve. The fuel is introduced into the pump chamber downstream of the air and both the fuel and air are supplied to the pump chamber substantially tangentially to be mixed for the first time in the pump chamber.

  • Patent number: 4487217
Abstract: A reversing valve for a combination meter, including a closure element, movable in the axial direction, which is provided with a cylindrical closure ring which in the closed position of the reversing valve covers radially outwardly directed valve openings, and having at least one channel extending essentially axially associated therewith, which channel is closed in the closed position though already after slight shifting of the closure element in the direction of its open position communicates the working chamber of a hydraulic adjustment member with the main flow. The working chamber additionally has a presettable opening which is always open in the direction of the auxiliary flow or total flow. The effective-pressure-cross section of the closure element is suddenly enlarged inwardly during opening, and is reduced in a sudden manner during closing, by having the main flow act on the working chamber.

  • Patent number: 4468320
Abstract: In a flotation basin a flotation zone and a pure liquid zone are formed which are separated by filter means. A liquid containing suspended matter is introduced into the flotation zone via an inlet and subjected to pressure release flotation by saturating pure liquid with pressurized gas under a pressure in the range of 3 to 8 bar and injecting the pressurized gas saturated liquid into the flotation zone in the region of the inlet. The flotated mud accumulating at the surface of the liquid is removed laterally by removal means coacting with the filter means or is removed by means of a combined filtering and removing device together with non-flotatable suspended matter on a filter web circulated or passed through the flotation basin. The mud is predried on the filter web and separated therefrom by redirecting its run, if desired, with assistance by a scraper. The mud falls into a collecting container separated from the flotation basin or its contents by a partition.

  • Patent number: 4433662
Abstract: a fuel system for mixture-compressing internal combustion engines controls the pressure differential of the extraction air required for proportioning the fuel. The system includes a fuel proportioning device and a vane pump for generating a carrier air stream for transporting the fuel into the suction tube of the internal combustion engine. A control valve constructed as a differential pressure valve influences the air pressure at the fuel outlet area and consequently the differential pressure for fuel proportioning. The throttle point is located in the carrier air channel upstream from the fuel proportioning area. A change in differential pressure adapts the mixture composition for various operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 4409944
Abstract: A fuel supply system for a mixture-compressing combustion engine includes a main air channel containing a throttle valve with a suction pipe connected to the downstream end of the main air channel and extending to the inlet valves for the engine. An air quantity measuring valve is located in the main air channel upstream of the throttle valve. A carrier-air channel branches off from the main air channel between the air quantity measuring valve and the throttle valve. Spaced from the main air channel is a fuel metering nozzle which opens into the carrier-air channel. A proportioning valve is located in the fuel metering nozzle and is adjustable by the air quantity measuring valve.

  • Patent number: 4392230
Abstract: Method of producing silicon by crucible-free zone melting a substantially vertically held silicon rod with which a melting zone, produced by an induction heating coil which, together with an oscillating-circuit coil connected in series therewith and determining the oscillating-circuit frequency and having a high inductance in comparison with that of the induction heating coil heating up the rod material, forms the inductive component of a heating parallel oscillating circuit fed by a high-frequency generator and has a heating circuit capacitor connected in parallel with the heating coil, is passed through the silicon rod in direction of the rod axis, which comprises dimensioning the component resonance circuit formed by the induction heating coil and the heating-circuit capacitor to a frequency deviating by less than a factor of 2 from the frequency of the high-frequency generator.

  • Patent number: 4152375
Abstract: A fuel supply arrangement with a fuel metering valve for external-ignition combustion engines, in which continuous fuel addition is provided to the intake pipe. The latter has an air funnel acting jointly with a throttle member coaxially located and axially movable. The throttle member is adjustable against a restoring force via intake pipe underpressure acting in a working chamber which can be vented into atmosphere. The throttle member is actuated by a diaphragm located in a diaphragm housing having one chamber connected to the atmosphere, and having a second chamber at intake pipe underpressure. The second chamber can be vented to atmosphere by a valve having an actuation position which is arbitrarily variable through relative spatial arrangement of a tripping element on the throttle, and the valve. Either the tripping element or the valve is connected rigidly to the axially movable throttle member and the other one of these two elements is connected to an arbitrarily adjustable linkage of the gas pedal.

  • Patent number: 4145351
Abstract: Diimidodicarboxylic acids for the preparation of polyester resins which in addition to ester groups, contain imide groups between functional groups of the molecule. The imide groups are in the form of 5-membered imide rings resulting from the condensation of, for example, an aromatic carboxylic acid anhydride and a primary amine. The resins can be used in lacquers for production of insulated electrical conductors, with the resin being the film forming component of the lacquers.
