  • Patent number: 11941458
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to migrating a virtualized execution environment from a first platform to a second platform while retaining use of namespace identifiers and permitting issuance of storage transactions by the virtualized execution environment. The first platform can include a first central processing unit or a first network interface. The second platform can include a central processing unit that is different that the first central processing unit and a network interface that is the same or different than the first network interface. The second platform can retain access permissions and target media format independent of one or more identifiers associated with the migrated virtualized execution environment at the second platform. Unperformed storage transactions can be migrated to the second platform for execution.

  • Publication number: 20080067723
Abstract: Methods of forming a shaped article having a matrix that contains sintered fly ash are disclosed that include forming a fly ash dough that includes fly ash and water. In one form a superplasticiser is added in the dough. A green article is formed in a desired shape from the fly ash dough that is subsequently fired so that the shaped article is hardened by sintering its fly ash matrix. In one form, the green article is cured under conditions of moderate heating and high humidity. A building element having a matrix of sintered fly ash is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050109242
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of forming a shaped article having a matrix that contains sintered fly ash. The method comprises the step of blending fly ash together with water to produce a fly ash dough. The water is added in excess of that which is absorbed by the fly ash so that the dough contains free water so as to be in at least a partially fluid state. The method also comprises the steps of forming a green article in a desired shape from the fly ash dough, and removing at least a portion of the free water from the fly ash dough during and/or after forming of the green article. The green article is subsequently fired so that the shaped article is hardened by sintering its fly ash matrix. The present invention also provides a building element having a matrix of sintered fly ash.

  • Publication number: 20040099991
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for sheet embossing are disclosed that imparts the same strain on each side of the sheet independent of pattern pick-up. By balancing the plastic deformation at each surface the stresses in the formed material are well controlled and, in fact, greatly improve the sheet flatness, material internal stress, surface corrosion and other properties associated with this balanced process. Controlled sheet shape is important to the industrial handling of material on conveyers, spoolers, stackers and other transport devices. Current industrial practice often mandates the use of sheet levelers that reform the surface through a series of rollers that plastically force the material flat, however, not at controlled stress. With the invention, expensive levelers are often not necessary and, as such, the overall process becomes more efficient.
