Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions for sanitizing and moisturizing skin surfaces. Such compositions an effective amount of sanitizing agent to kill or reduce the growth of microorganisms; a lipophilic skin moisturizing agent; an effective amount of a degreasing agent selected from the group consisting of: silicones, wax materials, powders, fluorochemicals and mixtures thereof; optionally a thickener, a humectant, a perfume; and water. The skin sanitizing compositions of the present invention are suitable for use in leave-on or rinse-off products.

Abstract: A process for preparing liquid personal cleansing compositions which provides enhanced perfume deposition on the skin and which provides increased on-skin fragrance longevity. The liquid personal cleansing compositions contain from about 0.01% to about 5% of a cationic polymer; from about 1% to about 80% of an anionic surfactant; from about 0.01% to about 5% of a volatile perfume; and water. The ratio of the cationic polymer to the anionic surfactant ranges from about 1:100 to about 1:2. The process involves first forming a premix comprising the cationic polymer, the volatile perfume and water, and then adding the premix to a personal cleansing base composition which comprises anionic surfactant and water.

Abstract: Disclosed are liquid personal cleansing compositions comprising a specific surfactant component comprising an ethoxylated alkyl sulfate surfactant having from about 1 to about 8 moles of ethoxylation and an amphoteric surfactant, a select soluble cellulosic cationic organic polymer, and a volatile perfume.

The ratio of the fragrance:fragrance carrier ranges from about 5:1 to about 1:10.
