  • Patent number: 7699508
Abstract: A pole-suspended flag illumination system positions a lighting fixture located in close proximity to a flag on a flagpole to provide illumination to the flag. The lighting fixture can slide up and down the flagpole in unison the flag using the same halyard that is used for the flag, or by other means. Further, flags often rotate about the flagpole as the wind shifts. As such, the lighting fixture can rotate about the flagpole in alignment with the flag so as to maintain illumination on the flag at it rotates. The flag and the lighting fixture may be attached to a reinforced electrical cable that acts as a halyard and raises and lowers them both along the flagpole. Further, the electrical cable can be connected to a power source to power directional lights in the lighting fixture and any other electrical devices on the flagpole.

  • Patent number: 7574878
Abstract: A flow control system for a water supply comprises a washing appliance, a valve, a stretch cable, and a stretch hose. The appliance is in fluid communication with the supply. The appliance includes a timer circuit configured to generate control signals. The valve is positioned external to the appliance and coupled to the supply to control a flow of water to the appliance in response to the control signals. The stretch cable is coupled between the valve and the appliance for delivering the control signal to the valve. The stretch hose is coupled to the valve and the appliance for delivering water to the appliance and is capable of being extended from a first length to a second length between the valve and the appliance. The stretch cable is positioned within the stretch hose and capable of being extended between the first and second lengths independent of the stretch hose.

  • Patent number: 5779370
Abstract: An apparatus for printing labels having a tacky side and a non-tacky printable side. The apparatus comprises a print head for printing indicia on the printable side of the labels, and a print roller disposed in close proximity to the print head. The print head is thus enabled to print indicia on the labels when the labels are supported by the print roller, the print roller having at least one annular recess in its surface thereof. The apparatus further comprises at least one elongated stripper element retained in and extending from the recess such that upon rotation of the roller, the label is transported to the stripper element. The stripper element thereby lifts the label from the surface of the roller and the label is removed from the print roller.
