Abstract: A clamp assembly that can be installed on and removed from its mounting on an elongated structure (e.g., 2×4) without the need for sliding past an end of the structure is disclosed. The clamp assembly may include a pair of clamp bodies with pads for engaging a workpiece. Each of the clamp bodies includes a clamp mount with a movable member arranged to be moved into forced engagement with an exterior surface (e.g., side) of the 2×4 to fix the clamp body on the 2×4. At least one of or both of the clamp bodies include a releasable connection that, when released, allows for the removal of the clamp body from the 2×4 without the need to longitudinally slide the body past an end of the 2×4.

The saw assembly further includes a saw blade, selectively coupled to the frame and extending between the first end and the second end. The saw blade includes a first connection portion connected to the first end and a second connection portion connected to the second end. The utility tool includes a second handle and a work portion. The second handle forms a portion of the frame and/or the first handle. The utility tool is separable from the saw assembly. The saw blade remains connected to the first end and the second end, and the first handle remains connected to the frame, when the utility tool is separated from the saw assembly.

Abstract: A combination manual tile cutter and a method of using the same. A manual tile cutter has an elongated cutting device mounted on a central support base and a pair of side supports pivotally connected on opposite sides of the central support base. The side supports are configured for pivotal movement between a first, open position to provide a generally planar support surface to support a work piece and a second, closed position disposed upwardly from the support base and configured to generally enclose the manual tile cutter in a polygonal (e.g., triangular) configuration. In the closed position, mutually adjacent portions of the side supports are configured to provide a hand grip to facilitate carrying of the manual tile cutter.
