  • Patent number: 6772826
Abstract: A Thermal Energy Heat Exchanger, is an air conditioning system, for the exterior unit of a fully assembled and installed heat pump and, or, air conditioning system, by means of a water refrigerant, from a source of water, such as, but not limited to a river, a lake, a pond, a swimming pool, a well, a creek, or an ocean; wherein a flow of water is circulated from the source of water by means of a water pumping device, 25A, under a controlled water pressure 25B, through an intake system of piping 25C, to a plurality of evaporator coils, positioned so as to surround the exterior unit by means of attachment to the inner chamber section of a protective cover enclosure, and through the plurality of evaporator coils, to an Outlet water disposal piping system, 25D; being in effect a heat pump and, or, air conditioner for the exterior unit of a fully assembled and installed heat pump and, or, air conditioning system, by means of a water refrigerant.

  • Publication number: 20010015071
Abstract: A method and apparatus of an externally mounted radiant reflector defrost heater, is a curved reflector combined by means of electrical insulators to a discrete heating means to form an apparatus to reduce ice buildup on a heat pump system's exterior unit heat exchangers through a non-reverse cycle defrost, via an apparatus which can be installed into a newly manufactured heat pump or by the retrofit of said apparatus onto an existing heat pump system, on site at location, said apparatus operating a non-reverse cycle defrost; independent of and uninterrupted by the said heat pump system's reversing valve defrost cycle.

  • Patent number: 6170281
Abstract: A weather shield is a cover of rigid material of sufficient size and shape, to accommodate the complete surrounding of the exterior unit of a heat pump, or central air conditioning system, which, when installed over the exterior unit, will be a shelter from the weather conditions of rain, snow, sleet, hail, wind, cold, and heat; by acting as an umbrella to divert the weather conditions, be a shield to impede the movement of the natural flow of air currents, act in the capacity of an energy saver, by collecting heat from solar rays through an absorbant pigment coating, or by repelling heat from solar rays through the use of a white reflective pigment coating, or attachable panels of a white durable material, act to decrease the recirculation of air flow produced by the exterior unit'fan which circulates air through the heat exchanger.
