Abstract: A guide for a drawer includes a rail and a device for holding the rail on the drawer. The holding device has a mounting portion which is secured to the drawer by a fastener, a resilient leg and a lever which is perpendicular to the rail. The rail is provided with an aperture and the leg has a protrusion which is receivable in the aperture so as to engage the rail. The protrusion can be withdrawn from the aperture by pulling on the lever. The lever is remote from one end of the leg and at least this end of the leg is fast with the mounting portion of the holding device.

Abstract: A device for holding a drawer closed includes a fork-like member which is pivotable between an inoperative position and an operative position. When the drawer is open, the fork-like member is normally in the inoperative position. As the drawer is closed, a pin on the drawer engages a first tine of the fork-like member to thereby pivot the latter to the operative position in which the pin is engaged by a second tine of the fork-like member. The second tine biases the pin under the action of a spring so as to hold the drawer closed. A returning member is integral with the fork-like member and serves to return the fork-like member to the inoperative position if the fork-like member is unintentionally pivoted to the operative position while the drawer is open. The returning member is provided with a channel having a first open end adjacent to the fork-like member and a second open end which faces the pin when the drawer is open and the fork-like member is in the operative position.

Abstract: A drawer for an article of furniture has a pair of oppositely disposed sides which are parallel to the direction of movement of the drawer when the latter is opened and closed. Each of these sides is formed with an elongated pocket which is designed to receive a runner for the drawer. Such a runner includes an elongated support which is symmetrical about a median plane dividing the support longitudinally and can be mounted at either side of the drawer. In its mounted condition, the support extends in the direction of movement of the drawer. The runner further includes an elongated guide rail which serves to guide the drawer during movement. The guide rail is designed to be releasably connected to the support in such a manner that the guide rail extends in parallelism with the support and is prevented from shifting longitudinally relative thereto. The means for releasably connecting the guide rail to the support includes one or two grooves in the guide rail and one or two cooperating detents on the support.

Abstract: The drawer has a front plate provided with a recess in its upper edge area. The recess is configured in such a way that the front plate is comprised of a rectangular plate (5) made of wooden or plastic material and of two profiled parts which are secured in the upper corner area of the plate and comprising a first upright (6a) seizing the respective corner and a second upwardly projecting upright. To the upwardly projecting uprights of the profiled parts there is secured an upper strut which is also secured to the rear wall of the drawer.

Abstract: A drawer has two side walls each provided with a groove, a drawer bottom inserted in the grooves of the side walls, and two arresting devices which are provided for entrainment of the drawer guide rails of an article of furniture; each arresting device has an angle member secured to a respective groove of the side walls, arranged under the drawer bottom, and made of a resilient material.

Abstract: The side faces of a reciprocable drawer carry U-shaped rails whose flanges are outwardly adjacent to the flanges of complementary U-shaped rails which are adjustably secured to a stationary member of the piece of furniture in which the drawer is installed. The front ends of the rails are accessible when the drawer is moved to a partly or fully open position, and the front ends of the rails on the stationary member can be moved up or down by eccentric worm wheels which are mounted between the flanges of the complementary rails and engage the respective upper flanges. The worm wheels can be rotated by worms which are mounted in the complementary rails and mesh with the respective worm wheels. When a worm is rotated, the corresponding eccentrically mounted worm wheel effects an upward or downward movement of the front end of the corresponding complementary rail, and such rail causes the front end of the associated rail on the drawer to share its movement.
