  • Publication number: 20120301887
Abstract: A method is provided in various embodiments for determining a profile data set for a subject with prostate cancer or a condition related to prostate cancer based on a sample from the subject, wherein the sample provides a source of RNAs. The method includes using amplification for measuring the amount of RNA corresponding to at least 1 constituent from Table 1 and/or Table 8 in conjunction with PSA. The profile data set comprises the measure of each constituent, and amplification is performed under measurement conditions that are substantially repeatable.

  • Patent number: 5082367
Abstract: An arrangement of probes is described, which comprises a carrier formed as an intermediate flange, in which a plurality of radially extending mounting openings are provided. The inner surfaces of the carrier are provided with an electrically insulating corrosion resistant layer, which is preferably an enamel layer. The carrier is having a polygonal outline and plane mounting surfaces surrounding the mounting openings. Measuring probes provided with a mounting flange can be exchangeably and sealingly attached to the mounting surfaces. By arranging different probes a large number of different measurement functions and supervision functions can be achieved. As an example, carrier sleeves comprising a window can be built in, so that a visual observation or a turbidity measurement can be performed.

  • Patent number: 5033495
Abstract: A fire and corrosion resistant enameled exteriorly sealing valve which may be mounted to a nozzle of a reaction vessel, comprising: a valve housing (1) having a valve opening therein, said housing being both internally enameled and enameled at said opening; a valve shaft (3) comprising a valve head (4) proximate one end thereof, said shaft and valve head being enameled on its outer surface; said valve head having a ground seat surface (4a) for mating with a housing seat surface (2a) at said opening provided at an extension (2, 21) of the valve housing (1); a stuffing box for the valve shaft (3), containing a packing (6, 7) out of material resistant to high temperatures; a spring package (17) engaging the valve shaft (3) and biasing the valve head (4) in a closed position, and by which a sufficiently high sealing force is provided between the two ground seat surfaces (2a, 4a) to maintain a seal in the presence of a fire; and said valve further comprising an actuation device (16) for opening and closing the val

  • Patent number: 4979831
Abstract: A temperature measuring sensor arrangement is described, which can be inserted into or removed from an enamelled built in part in a simple manner without a need for specific tools. A measuring insert with a carrier is provided, along the length of which an outwardly protruding detent element in the form of a collar is provided, and from the lower end surface of which carrier one or several measuring sensors are protruding. The carrier is slidably arranged in a longitudinal direction in a guiding tube and is biased downwardly by a spring engaging between the detent element and a shoulder in the guiding tube. A stop protruding from the inner wall of the guiding tube limits the displacement of the biased carrier.

  • Patent number: 4788506
Abstract: An enamelled or glass coated measuring probe is described, comprising a carrier an electrode fused into an enamelled probe body. The carrier is shaped as a cone out of enamel or ceramic material, into which the electrode or cylindrical metallic body serving for mounting the electrode is fused. In accordance with one embodiment one or several electrodes can be fused into the cone, while in another embodiment the electrode may be exchanged by an electrode out of a different material.
