  • Patent number: 4699372
Abstract: A transport mechanism for film cards having two rocker levers supported on a pivoting lever that can swivel around a shaft, with the rocker levers being capable of pivoting around a rocker lever shaft. The two rocker levers, in turn, support two opposite discs, one of which is driven by a motor. A gripping motion of the discs is brought about by provision of guide grooves located on the rocker levers, with each groove accommodating a stationary pin. Through provision of an intermediate carrier, the upper disc is fixed to the upper rocker lever in a manner that it can pivot around a horizontal axis which is at right angles to the rocker lever shaft. Therefore the upper disc can be tilted in the respective direction of transport.

  • Patent number: 4662766
Abstract: Mechanism for automatically adjusting the feed increment according to the type of ribbon in a ribbon cassette is characterized by a pawl and feed ratchet and to means operative by coded features on a cassette, when the cassette is mounted, to control the interval of engagement of the pawl and feed ratchet.

  • Patent number: 4411541
Abstract: A ribbon feed and elevating mechanism is so constructed that active parts for incrementally feeding and for elevating a ribbon from a rest position into one or more working positions form one structural unit mounted on a common shaft thereby providing a compact, easy to assemble unit for association with a typewriter of the type having a print element supported on a movable carriage. Due to the interaction of a lifting lever with a control lever and a pivoting lever to which a ribbon guide is linked, it is possible in a simple manner to raise the ribbon alternately into two different reproduction levels. A rocker, arm also mounted on the common shaft, serves to establish the increment of feed by which ribbon is to be advanced.

  • Patent number: 4411542
Abstract: Disclosed is a mechanism so arranged that a relatively weak power source can be employed to effect error ribbon elevation and incremental feed. A bridge which is pivotably mounted on a frame carries a rotatably mounted ratchet and a pivotably mounted pawl which, when the bridge is rotated by a magnet to elevate the bridge, is caused to react with a frame part and pivot relative to and to drive the ratchet to feed ribbon.

  • Patent number: 4340315
Abstract: Disclosed is a preferably transparent removably mounted cover plate for covering the top opening or printing point area in a printer, e.g. a needle printer, which serves to reduce noise and to prevent the introduction of foreign substances and dust. Of particular advantage is the inclusion on the cover plate of paper guide elements, a switch actuating cam which acts on a switch to shut off the machine when the cover plate is removed or swung out, and a paper tear-off edge.

  • Patent number: 4134694
Abstract: A tabular stop assembly having two sets of uniformly spaced tab stops for use with a typewriter with a dual pitch escapement wherein individual stops of each set are formed on each of an array of uniformly spaced C-shaped tabs which are mounted for rotative movement relative to a tab rack to first and second set positions corresponding to a selected escapement pitch.
