    Abstract: In a combustion chamber (20) the biomass to be degasified is placed via a conveyor screw (11) on to a trough (24). In the degasification chamber (20) there prevails a high temperature due to the vicinity of the flame chamber (27), so that the biomass is being degasified. The escaping gasses are burned in the flame chamber (27). Between the wall of the degasification chamber (20) and an outer casing (28) there is an air chamber (29) in which the fresh air introduced from the outside is preheated and thereafter is guided partly through the trough (24) and partly to another section of the flame chamber (27).
