    Abstract: A control arrangement for displacing the guide bar in a warp knitting machines comprises an input arrangement for the setting certain characteristic data defining the desired shogging pattern. There is also provided a first storage section for storing data for various transition curves also relating to shogging patterns. A computer can generate a continuous displacement function based on the characteristic data and the transition curves. An output arrangement can reads out the values of the displacement function in dependence upon the rotation angle position of the main shaft 7 of the knitting machine. The values this read out are used as position target values for the guide bar. This enables flexible adaptation to produce very different patterns in high machine speed.

    Abstract: In a warp knitting machine at least one swingable guide bar is driven in a shogging direction. This displacement is achieved through a drive member via a hinged push rod in dependence upon a path time function. This path time function is formed by overlapping a ground function with a compensation function. The ground function is the targeted displacement movement of the guide bar for proper lapping. The compensation function compensates for an axial mislap and possible collision during the swing-through of the guide bar. The compensation occurs at least during that segment corresponding to the passage of the guides through the needle gaps. Preferably however, compensation occurs over the entire ground function. This compensation substantially reduces the danger of collision between the guides and the needles.

    Abstract: Method for the purification of a gas stream loaded with organic gases or vapors, especially up to near the saturation limit, in a sorption filter, in which the gas stream loaded with organic gases or vapors is mixed with a gas conducted in a loop, and together with the latter is conducted through the sorption medium layer of the sorption filter, the volumetric flow of the circulating gas being larger than the volumetric flow of the gas to be purified. After the mixed gas stream is conducted through the sorption medium layer, a partial stream of the now purified gas is branched off and removed, where the volumetric flow of the branched-off gas corresponds to the volumetric flow of the gas to be purified and where the remainder of the purified gas is returned to the mixing point as circulating gas and is mixed there again with the gas to be purified.

    Abstract: Method for obtaining a substantially dehydrated desorbate in the desorption of sorption materials loaded with a gaseous, recirculated desorption medium. The desorption medium is heated up in a first heat exchanger before it enters into the loaded sorption material. Desorbate is removed from the desorption medium by cooling in a second heat exchanger acting as a desorbate condenser, and water vapor is removed at least partially by adsorption in an adsorptive drier. The cooled and dried desorption medium is returned by a circulating blower to the first heat exchanger. The desorption medium before entering into the adsorptive drier, is cooled down in the initial phase of the desorption period in the desorbate condenser, first, to near the water saturation limit. The cooled-down desorption medium with the water vapor saturation which is high in this initial phase, flows toward the adsorptive drier and is subsequently heated in dry condition.

    Abstract: There is provided a slider needle for warp knitting machines, comprising a slider. The slider is guided by the opposing side walls of a slot cut in the front face of a needle shaft. The opening of the slot carrying the slider, opposite the slot base, is widened or flared in such a manner that there is provided such a separation as to prevent contact between the slider and the forward portion of the slot wall. Thus, abrasion of the forward face into sharp edges which could negatively affect the stitch threads is thereby avoided.

    Abstract: The recovery of water-free desorbates from adsorption filters hampered not only by desorption with water vapor but also by water which is adsorbed at the adsorption media from the gas or the air to be purified and which water is likewise driven out during the desorption. It has now been found that desorbate without water can be recovered if the gaseous desorption medium is pre-dried in a water sorption filter with an adsorption medium having water-selective action, before entering the condenser-cooler. Bypasses avoiding the sorption water reservoir as well as the condenser-cooler also permit operating conditions which go beyond the normal desorption, namely, desorption with increased temperature for driving out less volatile residual loads as well as reactivating desorption. In a particular embodiment, the sorption heat accumulator can be combined with the condenser-cooler, an embodiment which can be employed particularly for recovery equipments.

    Abstract: In a control arrangement for the motor of a winding arrangement, such as a partial warp beam in a warp knitting machine, there is provided a controller. The controller controls the rate of rotation of the motors of the turning arrangements that influence thread consumption and ware takeoff, in dependence on a main shaft signal, a feedback signal and an input size signal. The control arrangement is equipped for the storage of a program containing many input sizes which are addressable sequentially for the control arrangement, in dependence upon the main shaft signal. In particular, a data memory may be provided with a plurality of addresses for the production of differentiable input sizes. An address caller is controlled by the main shaft signal and calls out sequentially the different input sizes for the control arrangement. As a controller, a digital computer is foreseen.

    Abstract: A measuring arrangement for a machine winding arrangement can determine a process variable related to the length of a wound-up or let-off material. A rotational angle signal is extracted from a rotatable winding carrier. In addition this angle signal can also contain information concerning the direction of rotation of the winding arrangement. The process variable is then calculated from this turning angle signal and calculation data, by means of a computer. The calculation data, transmitted from an input device, include at least values which are concerned with the diameter of the winding and thickness of the winding layer. The computer can contemporaneously be utilized to calculate the desired amount of rotation of a beam motor from: the process variable, a setting amount from the input device and a main shaft signal indicating rotation of the main shaft of the winding arrangement. The arrangement is particularly suited for the winding up or letting off of thread of a textile machine.

This insertion opening leads to an interior hook space. The plurality of needles are divisible into at least two groups. The spacing from the zenith of the concave surface of the hook space to the hook end in each of the needles of a given one of the groups differs from that of another one of said groups.

The gaseous regeneration medium is heated prior to entrance to the adsorption material by passing it through the first heat exchanger, and the discharged regeneration medium and desorbate are cooled by passing through the second heat exchanger.
