  • Publication number: 20120098705
Abstract: A mobile computing device comprises a wireless transceiver and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to store a data set for a predetermined location, the data set comprising location data and a location name. The processing circuit is further configured to compare a current location to the location data, to compare an updated location to the location data at a time calculated based on heuristic data, and to generate a notification message based on the mobile computing device arriving proximate to the predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 7404693
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a waste or environmental containment system that includes modified asphalt specifically designed for containment, and a system of installation that provides a seamless cap over the area to be contained. The modified asphalt of the present invention has a permeability less than 1×10?8 cm/sec and an air void content less than 3 percent. The system of installation includes joint designs that meet the same parameters as the modified asphalt mat to provide a seamless containment cap or liner to contain hazardous wastes at RCRA, Superfund sites, waste sites and environmental containment areas.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 29, 2006
Date of Patent: July 29, 2008
    Assignee: Wilder Construction Company
Inventors: Ronald L. Terrel, Karl Yost, Gale Schwiesow

  • Patent number: 5193936
Abstract: A two-step treatment process is disclosed for application of lead-toxic wastes to fixate and stabilize leachable lead contained therein. The process employs the use of a sulfate compound, such as gypsum, in a first step; and a phosphate reagent, such as phosphoric acid, in a second step. After thorough mixing and curing, a substantially solid end product is formed in which the lead is chemically fixed and remains in stabilized form for indefinite geologic periods. The process reduces Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure lead levels below the regulatory threshold of 5 mg/l as required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The waste also beneficially undergoes volume reduction in a short curing time, and is applicable in a variety of situations.
