    Abstract: A crimp contact includes a crimp barrel having a crimp base, a pair of crimp shoulders, a crimp region, and an impedance matching region. The crimp shoulders in the crimp region form a longitudinal seam when bent around an electrical conductor. An outer surface of the crimp barrel in the impedance matching region has a gradual expansion along a direction of the longitudinal seam.
