  • Patent number: 11648183
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a metering apparatus for free-flowing material and to a method for operating such a metering apparatus. The metering apparatus has a metering duct having a closed cross section and further has a rotary drive (M). The metering duct is wound in the form of a screw with a vertical longitudinal axis. The free-flowing material is fed to the metering duct. The metering duct is set via the rotary drive (M) in an oscillating rotary motion about its longitudinal axis with individual rotary strokes, wherein, with each rotary stroke, a partial quantity of the free-flowing material falls out of a lower discharge opening of the metering duct.

  • Patent number: 10571582
Abstract: In a calibration routine, a first set of X-ray recordings of at least one closed first reference package without content is produced, and a mass calibration signature is derived therefrom. A second set of X-ray recordings of at least one closed second reference package having a reference content is produced, and a reference signature is derived therefrom. From the reference signature and the mass calibration signature, a reference measurement value is derived via subtraction. The reference mass of the reference content is ascertained by weighing and assigned to the reference measurement value. In ongoing measurement operation, at least one set of measuring X-ray recordings of closed foil packages each having a content is produced and a measurement signature is derived therefrom. Herefrom, and from the mass calibration signature, measurement values for the individual closed foil packages are derived via subtraction, from which the masses of the contents are quantitatively determined.

  • Patent number: 10556712
Abstract: A pellet column is formed in a metering duct. The lowermost pellet is located in a connection point where an outlet duct is connected to the metering duct and leads transversely away therefrom. A first duct, which opens into the metering duct via a first duct mouth above the connection point, is impinged with negative pressure, wherein a pellet is suctioned onto the first duct mouth and is fixed thereto. This pellet acts as a block for the pellets thereabove. A second duct, which opens into the connection point via a second duct mouth, is impinged with positive pressure, wherein the pellet at the connection point is pneumatically ejected via the outlet duct and supplied to a container. After the ejection of the lowermost pellet, the negative pressure in the first duct is switched off such that the pellet held at the first duct mouth advances toward the connection point.

  • Publication number: 20090056826
Abstract: A device for the controlled filling of containers with powdered substance includes a supply vessel with a narrow exit opening for temporarily holding the powdered substance and for discharging a predetermined quantity of the powdered substance into a container located underneath the supply vessel, a vibrator means is connected to the supply vessel for effecting the discharge of the powdered substance. A sensor for determining the quantity of powdered substance discharged from the supply vessel into the container, and a control unit, which converts the data acquired by the sensor into control commands for the vibrator means is included. The sensor includes a capacitive sensor for the quantitative determination of the quantity of powdered substance falling there through during the filling process and is located between the supply vessel and the container.
