The Schottky junctions are formed at a semiconductor-metal interface and reducing the Schottky junction is accomplished through co-deposition during a physical vapor deposition (PVD) process.

In the closed position the backrest portion is parallel to the seat portion and in the open position the angle between the seat portion and the backrest portion is greater than 90 degrees. The hinges are made of two elongated rod structures each having a helical center section. The two elongated rod structures are coupled together with a bolt to form the hinge.
