Abstract: A gas sampling apparatus including a housing having a housing wall and a housing opening. The gas sampling apparatus includes a sample system for extracting the gaseous sample, including a sample pipe having an opening enclosed by the housing wall and in fluid communication with the gaseous environment and filter means including a filter for filtering solid particles from the gaseous sample. The filter is enclosed by the housing wall and arranged at the opening. The gas sampling apparatus includes a central purge system to remove aggregates of solid particles deposited on one or more housing surfaces by a gaseous medium, wherein the central purge system includes a purge pipe including an outlet opening directed towards the housing opening and enclosed by the housing wall, wherein the sample system is arranged externally to the central purge system so that the sample pipe is separate from the purge pipe.

Abstract: An extractive gas analyser system includes a supply channel, a measuring channel connected thereto between first and second ends, an analysing unit comprising an optical arrangement for analysing gaseous material in the measuring channel, which optical arrangement comprises first and second optical units arranged respectively at first and second ends of the measuring channel, a barrier arrangement near each end of the measuring channel and comprising a barrier gas inlet and outlet arranged in opposing manner across said measuring channel, each in connection with a gas source and provided with a nozzle opening directed toward the opposing outlet, said barrier arrangement arranged to provide pressurized gas creating a barrier gas curtain between the barrier gas inlet and outlet to force least a part of the gaseous material from the supply channel into the measuring channel and out through the outlet and thereby separate the gaseous material from said optical units.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for taking out samples of a gaseous medium containing particles, the apparatus comprising a pipe having one end adapted for introduction into the gaseous medium, a tubular filter positioned coaxially with the pipe, a removable closure positioned on the down stream side of the tubular filter, means for removing filtered gas from the outside of the tubular filter and separate blow back means in communication with the outer side of the tubular filter.
