    Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic shock-absorber equipped with a height sensor which is to be mounted onto a rail vehicle. The aim of the invention is to prevent components of the rail vehicle, such as supports for the superstructure and/or an additional volume of pressure formed by a cradle, from being drilled or modified in another way in order to create the installation space for the height sensor. The inventive pneumatic shock-absorber is characterized in that an upper extension arm and a lower extension arm extend laterally from the upper support plate and lower mounting plate respectively and that the height sensor is positioned between the two extension arms.
