  • Patent number: 11847925
Abstract: Disclosed are methods of displaying compatibility between an aircraft and a landing port, the method comprising: determining a current position of the aircraft and a gross weight of the aircraft; determining a landing port based on the current position of the aircraft; receiving a set of parameters associated with the determined landing port; determining an elevation of the determined landing port and a gross weight supported by the determined landing port at least based on the received parameters; determining whether the aircraft is compatible with the landing port at least based on the determined elevation of the determined landing port and by comparing a gross weight of the aircraft with the gross weight supported by the determined landing port; and causing display on a display device of the aircraft of an indication of the determination of whether the aircraft is compatible with the landing port.

  • Publication number: 20230401962
Abstract: A system and method of transmitting an aircraft report (AIREP) from a first aircraft having an enabled aircraft autoland system includes retrieving, via a first processing system, standard AIREP data from one or more avionic systems within the first aircraft, the standard AIREP data including standard AIREP reporting information. The first processing system retrieves autoland enablement data that indicates whether the autoland system was manually or automatically enabled, and also retrieves autoland information data from the one or more avionics systems, where the autoland information data includes current aircraft state data and current flight plan data and is different from the standard AIREP data. The autoland information data is appended to the standard AIREP data to generate an AIREP-autoland message and the AIREP-autoland message is transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20230391472
Abstract: A system and method to assist a non-pilot in taking corrective action includes monitoring, in a health monitoring system, a state of health of an enabled aircraft autoland system to determine if a subsystem or component of the autoland system is in a fault condition that will inhibit operation of the autoland system. When the subsystem or component of the enabled autoland system is inoperable, The health monitoring system determines if the fault condition can be corrected by the non-pilot, by comparing the fault condition to a set of fault conditions in a fault condition database. When the fault condition can be corrected by the non-pilot, a display device is commanded, via the health monitoring system, to render a three-dimensional (3D) cockpit view of instructions for correcting the fault.

  • Patent number: 10664142
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for entering data into a data entry system. The data entry system includes a user-control device coupled to a display configured to display data field entry locations. The system includes a receiving module for receiving input data. The system includes a parsing module connected to the receiving module for parsing the input data and identifying constituent data elements in the input data. The system also includes a contextual tagging module connected to the parsing module and configured to determine associations between the constituent data elements and the multiple data field entry locations. The system also includes a processor configured to preview the constituent data element on the display when a data field entry location associated with the constituent data element is selected and enter the preview into the data field entry location when the preview is confirmed using the user-control device.
