  • Publication number: 20240075274
Abstract: A cap for a closed male luer connector having a housing and a male luer, with the closed male luer connector having a closed position where a fluid path through the closed male luer connector is closed and an open position where a fluid path through the closed male luer connector is open, the cap including a body having a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end, with the body defining an opening configured to receive a portion of the male luer of the closed male luer connector. The body is configured to actuate the closed male luer connector from the closed position to the open position when the cap is fully inserted into the closed male luer connector. The body is configured to expand in a radial direction.

  • Publication number: 20220203046
Abstract: An air venting device may include an adapter comprising a tubular body having a hollow interior defining a fluid flow path, and a vent plug detachably coupled to at least a portion of the tubular body. The vent plug may include an inner circumferential surface defining an internal chamber of the vent plug, and the fluid flow path of the adapter may fluidly communicate the adapter with the internal chamber of the vent plug. The vent plug may further include a superabsorbent polymer material disposed in the internal chamber. The superabsorbent polymer material may be configured to (i) absorb a liquid entering the internal chamber from the fluid flow path, and (ii) expand in volume as the liquid is absorbed into the superabsorbent polymer material. Air entrained in the liquid entering the internal chamber may be vented to an exterior of the air venting device via the vent plug.

  • Publication number: 20210386989
Abstract: A catheter system may include a needleless connector, which may include a distal end, a proximal end, and a valve disposed between the distal end of the needleless connector and the proximal end of the needleless connector. The catheter system may include a vent assembly, which may include a proximal component and a distal component. The proximal component may include a male luer adapter, which may include a male luer. The distal component may include a distal end coupled to the proximal end of the needleless connector, and a proximal end coupled to the male luer adapter. In response to movement of the proximal component from a proximal position to a distal position with respect to the distal component, the male luer of the male luer adapter may open the valve to vent air inside the catheter system.

  • Patent number: 9298339
Abstract: Architecture that implements fact interactive elements and list interactive elements in a user interface (UI) to assist in obtaining user feedback on entity attributes for semantic web and structured data searches to ensure data correctness, freshness, and user relevance. The fact interactive element enables user interaction with the attribute data of the corresponding attribute. The user interaction then provides feedback as to correctness of the attribute data for the given attribute. Each state has a corresponding visual state which has a clear visual distinction from other states. The interactive elements enable the use of standard user inputs such as with input devices, as well as interaction using gestures such as associated with natural user interface (NUI) gestures.
