  • Publication number: 20230008158
Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the seamless transfer of services provided by a first Multi-Access/Mobile Edge Computing device (“MEC”) to a User Equipment (“UE”), to a second MEC. Context information associated with a given application for which services are provided by the first MEC may be cached by the UE based on a determination that the second MEC should provide the services, and the UE may provide the cached information to the second MEC in order to seamlessly continue receiving services. The providing of the cached information to the UE and/or to the second MEC may be performed with an elevated priority level, in order to facilitate the seamless providing of the services relating to the application, thus resulting in minimal to no interruption of the user experience associated with the application.

  • Publication number: 20200043115
Abstract: Technologies for implementing a permissioned blockchain ecosystem for economic development incentives. In some examples, a method can involve establishing identities of entities interacting with a blockchain network, the entities including contributors, verifiers, and actors. The method can further involve receiving economic development incentive (EDI) data from a contributor for a permissioned blockchain of the blockchain network, and verifying the EDI data and a respective identity of the contributor. The method can involve, in response to verifying the EDI data and respective identity of the contributor, sending, to an orderer on the blockchain network, a signed transaction comprising the EDI data, and sending, to a blockchain wallet associated with the contributor, an EDI token issued for the contributor. The method can involve, based on the signed transaction, creating, by the orderer, transaction blocks including the EDI data and propagating the transaction blocks onto the permissioned blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20150203924
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to kits for identifying herbicide resistant plants and methods for determining whether a plant is herbicide resistant. The methods are based on the discovery that some genes are over-expressed or under-expressed in herbicide resistant plants when compared to herbicide-sensitive plants prior to application of the herbicide. The methods include determining the expression level of the one or more genes of interest in a biological sample, such as via qRT PCR, and determining whether the biological sample is from an herbicide-resistant plant based on the expression level. In an embodiment, the kit and methods are used to identify glyphosate-resistant Ambrosia trifida. The kits and methods can be used to improve crop management strategies.

  • Patent number: 8499103
Abstract: A converter apparatus is provided enabling conversion of data between different form factor pluggable standards. The converter comprises a first connector that connects to a first device according to a first form factor pluggable standard, and a second connector that connects to a second device according to a second form factor pluggable standard. The converter further comprises a signal processor coupled between the first connector and the second connector. The processor converts at least one of transmit signals in the first form factor pluggable standard to transmit signals in the second form factor pluggable standard and receive signals in the second form factor pluggable standard to receive signals in the first form factor pluggable standard. A controller in the converter is coupled to the processor and to the first and second connector. The controller configures the processor to be used for converting signals between the form factor pluggable standards.

  • Publication number: 20110255574
Abstract: A converter apparatus is provided that enables conversion of data (traffic) between different form factor pluggable standards. The converter apparatus comprises a first connector configured to connect to a first device according to a first form factor pluggable standard, and a second connector configured to connect to a second device according to a second form factor pluggable standard. The converter apparatus further comprises a signal processor configured to be coupled between the first connector and the second connector. The signal processor is configured to convert at least one of transmit signals in the first form factor pluggable standard received at the first connector to transmit signals in the second form factor pluggable standard and receive signals in the second form factor pluggable standard received at the second connector to receive signals in the first form factor pluggable standard.

  • Publication number: 20070198365
Abstract: A method and system for on-line trading and selling, e.g., in an on-line auction, are disclosed. The system provides a polytopic market data (PMD) database for use in spotting fraudulent or suspicions items for sale or trade. The system may include a Sale-it-Now feature that uses historical price data and time-to-respond values to encourage bidding close price levels at or close to historical highs. The system may include a Pareto Sale feature for multiple agents, to identify groups of stable trading arrangements. The system may include Alerts for alerting buyers, sellers or traders in the system to selling, buying, or trading opportunities.

  • Patent number: 6993685
Abstract: In a technique for testing processor interrupt logic, interrupts are sent to a microprocessor under test in a random order to test the processor interrupt logic of the microprocessor under test. The processor interrupt logic is considered to have failed the test if the microprocessor under test services a new interrupt having a priority level equal to or lower than a priority level of a previously received interrupt being serviced just prior to the receipt of the new interrupt. Furthermore, pseudo-masked interrupts are included in the interrupts being sent to the microprocessor under test. If a pseudo-masked interrupt is serviced by the microprocessor under test, the processor interrupt logic is considered to have failed the test.

  • Patent number: 6917814
Abstract: A method (500) and a mobile station (160) for reporting multi-path signals based on a report window are described herein. The mobile station (160) may determine a distribution of a plurality of multi-path signals observed by a receiving unit (220) within the mobile station (160). The mobile station (160) may determine a report window based on the distribution. Based on the report window, the mobile station (160) may report at least one of the plurality of multi-path signals.
