Abstract: A method and system for managing organizations based on competencies, expertise and experience of their members, including (a) identifying and classifying “competencies” existing within organizations; (b) promoting and creating “interactions” and “engagements” between members based on identified competencies, creating rewards and incentives promoting such interactions; (c) creating virtual “competency exchanges” within organization and “competency marketplaces” across multiple organizations; (d) managing organizations and various ongoing activities of the organizations based on the competency profiles and balance of supply and demand of particular competencies (e) creating valuation of particular competencies; (f) providing analytics and reporting, and other functionality as discussed in greater detail below.
