Abstract: An article of apparel is configured to cover at least part of a human head. The article of apparel includes a multi-layer face shield and a fabric panel coupled to the face shield. The multi-layer face shield includes an outer layer, a middle layer and an inner layer and is configured to cover a mouth and a nose of the human head when the article of apparel is donned by a wearer. The fabric panel is coupled to the face shield and forms a posterior loop such that the fabric panel and face shield are configured to extend completely around the human head when the article of apparel is donned by the wearer.

Abstract: A face mask configured to be worn on a human head includes a face shield and an ear loop. The ear loop is connected to a lateral side of the face shield. The ear loop defines an elongated narrow center portion positioned between an enlarged first end and an enlarged second end opposite the first end. The enlarged first end is connected to an upper portion of the lateral side of the face shield. The enlarged second end is connected to a lower portion of the lateral side of the face shield. The enlarged first end overlaps the enlarged second end along the lateral side of the face shield.

The face shield includes a multi-layer body portion comprising an outer layer, a middle layer and an inner layer. The outer layer is provided by a stitched fabric spacer, the middle layer provided by an open cell foam, and the inner layer provided a stretch fabric. The at least one mounting strap is an ear loop provided by a free-cut piece of fabric defined by an elongated narrow center portion positioned between an enlarged first end and an enlarged second end opposite the first end.

Abstract: A pole system comprising a continuous elongated frame forming both structural and functional geometries relating to the handle and shaft portions. The continuous elongated frame may include an internal cavity and a variable wall thickness along the lengthwise dimension. The handle portion of the continuous elongated frame includes a cap region, grip region, and a retention region. The independent regions of the handle portion may include substantially different cross sectional shapes to facilitate the corresponding functional characteristics. For example, the grip region may include an ergonomic tapered oval cross sectional shape to facilitate optimal engagement with a user's hand. The shaft portion of the continuous elongated frame is disposed between the handle portion and the bottom end of the continuous elongated frame. The tip is either integrated as a portion of the continuous elongated frame or translatably coupled via a lower pole member.
