  • Publication number: 20210259395
Abstract: A support strap including a band, a windlass strap and a windlass handle. The band has a buckle end and a lead end, and the windlass strap is secured to the band at a first positioned and a second position along the length of the wand. The windlass handle provides a windlass bar and the windlass handle is secured to the windless strap at the position of the windlass bar. Rotation of the windlass handle will rotate the windlass bar and wind the windlass strap.

  • Patent number: 8424899
Abstract: A wheeled attachment for a litter for transportation of a litter via a single operator. The wheeled attachment generally includes a traverse frame extending across one end of the litter, first and second receiver tubes pivotally connected to opposing ends of the frame, the first and second receiver tubes pivoting between a first position against the frame and a second position perpendicular with the frame to receive the handle ends of the litter, and including first and second wheels pivotally connected to opposing ends of the frame and coupled to the receiver tubes to also pivot between the first and second pivotal positions parallel to and perpendicular with the frame. The receiver tubes also include an opening and coupler assembly for fixing the handles within the respective coupler. The frame further preferably extends above the netting of the litter to provide a foot stop for the patient upon the litter.

  • Patent number: 8302610
Abstract: A spine immobilizer with removable straps for efficiently providing removable straps upon a spine immobilizer for cleaning, maintenance, replacement, or inspection purposes. The spine immobilizer generally includes an immobilizer panel comprised of a semi-rigid structure, wherein the immobilizer panel has a central support, first wings laterally extending from a first end of the central support, and second wings laterally extending from a second end of the central support, a plurality of connectors extending from a back side of the immobilization panel along the first wings and the second wings, and a plurality of strap assemblies removably connected to the plurality of connectors. The plurality of strap assemblies are adapted to removably connect to a correlating strap assembly via a buckle-connector structure and join the first wings and join the second wings of the immobilization panel about a patient.

  • Patent number: 8273044
Abstract: A traction splint device for providing aid to a person suffering from a broken or fractured lower extremity. The device generally includes a collapsible shaft adapted to be positioned alongside a leg of a patient, a first support connected to a first end of the shaft, and a second support connected to a second end of the shaft. The first support is adapted to be positioned forwardly of a lower end of the leg and includes a center brace having a notch. A plurality of stabilizing straps traverse the shaft and are adapted to constrain the leg. At least one of the straps is adapted to wrap around the notch of the center brace to secure a lower end of the leg and at least one of the straps is adapted to extend through an opening of the second support to secure an upper end of the leg.

  • Patent number: 7740298
Abstract: A human transporting system for efficiently removing an injured person out of water. The human transporting system generally includes a handle, a pair of straps attached to the handle, a pair of sliding loops attached to the straps forming looped portions for receiving the wrists of an injured human, and a pair of biasing members attached between the handle and the sliding loops. The looped portions receive the wrists of the injured human and the user pulls the injured human from the water by pulling upon the handle which tightens the looped portions upon the wrists. Once the injured human is pulled out of the water, the handle is lowered thereby allowing the biasing members to loosen the looped portions about the wrists.

  • Patent number: 7516502
Abstract: A wheeled attachment system for efficiently attaching to a spine board to allow the spine board to be easily maneuvered over various surfaces (e.g. flat surfaces, stairs, etc.). The wheeled attachment system generally includes a support structure including a shaft, a plurality of wheels and at least one support, wherein at least three of the plurality of wheels are rotatably attached at each opposing end of the shaft and wherein the plurality of wheels form a tri-wheeled structure upon each of the opposing ends of the shaft. The support extends outwardly from the shaft between the opposing ends of the shaft, wherein the support stabilizes the support structure upon an object positioned adjacent the support structure. An attachment structure extends from the support structure, wherein the attachment structure removably secures the attachment structure and the support structure to the object.
