In one embodiment, the method includes using a remote maintenance function by a user of a user interface in order to allow a technician to take control of a data transmission connection during operation, recording interactions implemented during the use of the remote maintenance function in a database of the manufacturer of the IT system and evaluating the recorded interactions by the manufacturer in order to derive therefrom indications of an improvement in the user interface.
