The tape comprises perforated portions that allow for the easy tearing of the tape. The bottom surface of the tape has an adhesive layer that is easily removed from the surface of the object to be protected. The non-adhesive portion is coated with an impervious coating to prevent the seepage of the paint or other liquid through the tape and onto the protected surface.
